The Daytripper

The Daytripper

I explore Texas one day at a time. From the well known landmarks to the completely obscure dives and hideaways, but all within a day's reach.

Ever Been to Helotes, Texas?

I dread the first weekend of the month, when the wife inevitably says “we’re going to Canton” and I know I’m going to have to walk all day and spend money. I only do it in exchange for stopping at Dairy Palace.

imma be real with you big dog. I don't know anyone who went to spaknies past freshman year. Also no one likes Lisa. Sorry not sorry. I've met dogs who've let me know how much they don't like her. they pride themselves as the place across from tech but I never see anyone there and they're always closed when those types of restaurants are open. soooooooooo.....

As a kid I went to summer camp in Leander Tx, at Nameless Valley Ranch, and they had the same story for the camps name.

Listen I don’t like living in el Paso (I’m a north western girl who wasn’t built for the desert) , but this video made me appreciate it a bit more and showed me a few places in this town I haven’t seen or heard of before despite being here for 3 years now.

You said incorrectly population 750K. Its 980K and is the 12th largest city in America. Dallas is 9th. Fort Worth is the 2nd fastest growing city in America and is on pace to outgrow Dallas.

Something that should have been necessary to include in your video is that The Blessing Buffet accepts cash or checks only! She doesn't accept debit, credit or Zelle or anything else! Another not so fun fact is that the bank directly in front of the hotel does NOT have an ATM machine! If it weren't for a kind gentleman blessing me in Blessing, TX with a $20 all because he liked my supportive Trump t-shirt I was wearing, I would have been in a bit of a pickle!

been to a number of these. For size, clarity, lack of crowds, and just the bizarreness of the scenery vs the swimming hole. Balmorhea is tough to beat. And a car drive through the Davis Mountain Range is a big bonus.
