Boy-I’m going to come across as arrogant or snobbish or something like that, but I always considered anything below a 1000-piece puzzle was too “baby” for me. HOWEVER! When you were explaining how the smaller puzzles and their larger-sized pieces could help those who have arthritis or vision problems, or for those who are new to puzzling, etc., I now hang my head in shame. I have a new point of view, and I thank you, Emily! Things like this are why I like your channel. Thank you. 🌹

I was like that too. Specifically the pick up test. There are days when I am feeling overwhelmed and 1000 or higher is too much I go to the smaller count pieces to get my puzzle itch out of the way.

Totally get that mindset. Glad I helped you see a new point of view. Since I have two autoimmune diseases, I know on days when I'm flaring up the thought of gripping small puzzle pieces seems impossible. :)

Thanks for this! Very few people cover lower piece counts. I like smaller piece counts for: Lack of puzzle space. Something very quick. Physical limitations but still want good images. Lately I am having to do puzzles that are small in both piece count and size as I have only a folding TV dinner table and dollar tree foam boards to work on. Luckily I found my puzzle trays so those help a lot.

They really do need a spot in the puzzle world- for all the reasons you mentioned and because if they are selling- the makers will pay attention and give them good graphics!! Fantastic, well thought out video!!

What a great idea!!! As someone with chronic illness, some days I can do large puzzles and other days I keep the puzzle count low.

Thank you for doing this comparison video. Many years ago i could do 2000 piece puzzles. I didn't have space to do larger ones. Now I'm a senior and my eyesight isn't so great and i have arthritis. Usually the largest I do is 1000 but my sweet point is 500. After doing a larger count puzzle I look for a smaller count just for a break. There are so many brands on the market and it's hard to know which ones are worth buying. It's nice to know there are companies with nice images in smaller piece counts. I love the image from Djeco and Eurographics.

Thank you for this video! It was a great idea! I enjoy large piece count puzzles just because my mom loves them and I grew up helping her with 1000 piece puzzles, but now I have lessened motor function in my hands due to neurological damage, so I was thinking lately that lower piece count puzzles would help me ❤ I’ve been eyeing the brands you mentioned so the comparison was really helpful! ❤️ (I saw in the Galison website that Mudpuppy is their childrens brand 🤓 I was looking into those for gifting to my friends’ kids, but honestly I also love them for myself 😂 I’m also one of those glitter loving adults though haha!)

I really enjoyed this review. I have the opposite problem though. I love puzzling but I have developed RA and my favored 2,000 and 1,000 piece puzzles are too much for me. I find that a 300 or 500 piece puzzle hits my sweet spot between challenge and pain. I hope that you can do a similar reveiw for 300 and 500 piece brands as I have noticed some differences in brands between their lower and higher count puzzles. I am going to check out some of your top choices to see what they offer in 300 and 500 pieces. I am really digging on your channel. Thank you and keep up the great work.

Thanks for this! I've just added two of the puzzles you featured to my wish list(s). And I'll look into images offered by a couple of the other brands. I've been reluctant to buy 100 piece puzzles due to the prices on the higher quality brands but it might be worth it in a few cases. I did my first 300 piece puzzle recently after struggling through an unpleasant 500 piece experience. What a relief that was! So now I can imagine how satisfying a 100 pc puzzle would be. 😊

Lovely video. I don't tend to do smaller than 500 piece puzzles due to price. I feel I don't get much puzzling time from smaller puzzle count but I love some of these images. I love Djeco puzzles and recently did their 500 piece Unicorn Garden puzzle which was larger pieces so good for those with rheumatism etc.

Yes for me this small of piece count wouldn't give me much puzzling time and for the price would be hard for me to justify all the time. I can see me doing them on repeat for times when I just need a quick fix.

Oooo cats, I love cats. ❤I promptly had a look, found a new one and bought it. I like doing small count puzzles just as a change from doing the bigger ones. One I really enjoyed was a Eurographics 300XL called Backyard Fun. There are jigsaw companies that do small count large piece jigsaws for those who suffer from dementia which I think is great. 😃

Love this video ,, love giving respect to any size puzzle.. I couldn't agree more with everything you said!!! I am glad you gave people a new point of view..... I don't have tennis elbow I have "puzzle thumbs" I have arthritis in my thumbs and its a challenge to do the small pieces all the time... so yes I take a break from the large piece count and do 300 count... I am also trying to get a friend interested in puzzling... so this is a perfect idea, I will get her some 100 piece puzzles to start with.. THANK YOU AGAIN!!! I love the new direction your channel is taking...

Great video!!I actually dont mind the 350pc Puzzlebug/ArtBox. The quality isnt great but I've seen some cool images that I enjoyed. Anything bigger is just bad. And I've done a Star Wars 100pc one and it also was bad. SO many false fits. Cardinal is a hit or miss for me. I have done the 100 pc ones and I did like them. I did a Mickey one and a Spongebob one. I guess technically for kids but I enjoyed both images. I want to like eeboo, but the pieces are really shiny, including the paper backing. I just finished a 1000 pc puzzle of Copenhagen by eeboo, love the image, but not sure I will go out of my way to get more. I have two more in my stash to do, and will totally do them, but I will probably get them during some swaps instead of brand new.

Speaking of sturdier puzzle brands, we recently have had a great experience with Schmidt. I find the pieces are thicker and feel almost indestructible. Schmidt has a similar luxury feel comparable to Ravensburger, but the Schmidt pieces in the 1000 count are much stronger. I have 3 kids that like to puzzle with me and the Schmidt pieces are the most sturdy. My 6 year old accidentally bends 1000 piece puzzles in other brands, but not with Schmidt. You really cannot bend a Schmidt puzzle piece.

I have the unicorn ceaco puzzle :) I really like it. We got it for in the camper to go with our other100, 200 and 300 piece puzzles that we have in there. I agree, not the most adult puzzle but fun and I like that it doesn't take long to put together. :)

100 to 500 pieces is pretty much all I candle due to the smaller puzzle size pieces for the larger puzzles. Unless it's a puzzle I want to do and hang on a wall, I will stick with the 100 to 500 puzzle pieces count.
