Had a Zojirushi rice cooker that lasted for 10 or so years! They are wonders to have in the kitchen.

I don't have one of these machines (yet), but the company's promotional materials show a rice paddle holder attached to the side of the cooker. It is a minimal looking clear plastic piece, easy to miss if it's in the new box. It looks like something the consumer would attach to the rice cooker, probably self-stick.

Can we bake cakes in AAQ10? I know it does not have a dedicated cake settings….

how long does it take to cook for regular brown rice? I notice there's no place for quinoa?

Hello! I haven't tried cooking brown rice in our cooker yet but you're correct, there is no individual setting for quinoa. :)

Hello! I called Zojirushi customer support here in Manila to ask about this and they said that there is no way to turn off the clock even when unplugged. :( When we unboxed it, the clock was already on. :)

The IH models have non-detachable power cord and when it’s unplugged, the time or clock is turn off.

@@eleanoreteo I had tried the exact rice cooker from the place I rented for 6 months. The rice turns out fluffy and delicious. But as soon as I got back to my own place, I immediately order one. I got the NWC-10 which currently is the flagship model. So far, I tried the umami preset and the rice turns out to have a chewable texture and some fluffiness. The version you have can make rice fluffy and soft.

How much is one cup? Is it the same volume of a normal measuring cup 8oz?

6.1 oz is the size of the cup

I think theres a plastic thingy you can hook on the side and you can put your paddle in it? Why did you buy a new rc? Our old tiger rc still works okay but im thinking of replacing it with this model i don’t know why maybe its the quarantine mood? Like to hear your story as to why did you replace a still perfectly working old rc :)

Hi Jd, thanks so much! I will double check on the paddle holder, maybe I missed something in the box hehe. We wanted to upgrade our rice cooker from the traditional one because I heard that the Japanese versions had a very noticeable difference in the results. Our rice with the old rc would tend to crust at the bottom while mushy in the middle. Although rice is rice so we weren't very picky but we thought upgrading the rice might be worth it. Plus we've been eating at home all year so now is the best time I guess. :D

Hahahaha it was in the box Uncle Roger, why would they put it in the box if I wasn't supposed to use it. 😂😂

Compare apple to pear, or a Toyota to a Porsche. Lol

I alway read the instructions 😂 I feel like it’s a woman thing! 😊
