Testing the CRAZIEST of VR at CES 2022

Ғылым және технология

Hello and welcome to TUESDAY NEWSDAY! Your number one resource for the entire week's worth of VR news! This week is SPECIAL, probably my favorite one I have made yet. I went to Las Vegas to CES this year and got to try out all sorts of VR technology from haptic gloves, haptic vests, teslasuits, electrostimulation suits, and cheap widely available full body tracking.
This week is very special!

Hi, things a kinda escalating now at the top consumer VR headset end, really hard to keep track of what's going on. A side-by-side comparison between all current top consumer VR headsets would be awesome. Like Varjo Aero, HTC Vive Pro 2 and HTC Focus 3. What are their price for value and for which purpose where would they really shine? Especially looking for something to use with FS2020 or Space Sims.

For hardware, sure its impressive but none of this will matter UNTIL someone makes a cheap open platform wireless standalone headset with eye tracking and at least a apu that matches Apple's M1 chip. With quest running things all the software is being made to fit on that limited hardware and its specs are the standard now. We need a better more open option or VR software quality is stuck in the early 2000s level of quality.

What's shocking to me is that with enough money, the full dive VR experience is already there. They have full body tracking haptic suits that cause small stimulus from rain and shock for pain. Full 180 FOV and ultra high qualty VR headsets. NOT TO MENTION SMELL like how did he brush past that, that's insane. With a moving ground space, it's all there.

For me personally Im really interested in the Haritorax and the Bhaptics gloves. I recently got a quest 2 and the full body tracking aspect has been on my mind since but dont want to deal with cables running down my back and base stations so they really intrigued me.

its crazy how fast VR has evolved. from just "eh, idk if vr will kick off, pretty buggy. a headset would be about $700-1000" to "yeah, 4k wireless accurate controllers, with haptics and push/pullbacks on 2 gloves. also a vest shocks you now. only $300 each." it can take only 4-5 years for things to change entirely.
