Hey just wanted to let you know that the reason why it was limiting you at 20MPH is because you were holding down the throttle the whole time while pedaling. The throttle is limited to 20mph, but the moment you let go of the throttle, while pedaling, you'll feel the bike take off at a much higher speed. I've got mine to 35 MPH (this was me pedaling as hard as I could, combined with the level 5 pedal assist). Great video!

@@TheInja I think he was letting you know since you said it doesn't go past 20mph like most factory bikes and that's only for the throttle mechanism. With Pedal Assist you can get up to 28mph per the description of the bike on Amazon.

Bought one based on this video. I have also have a Yamaha Moro mountain e-bike. Two very different bikes at different price points. The Ranger definitely is faster with pedal assist at 28mph. The biggest complaint I have against it is a lack of gear range and it's not practical to think you will be happy riding it with no assist. I live in the country and ride in to work a few miles the Ranger will be a better choice for speed but it is not a competator for actual mountain biking (no suprise here). Overall I'm extremely happy with the purchase and am excited to put many more miles on it.

@@TheInja hey I'm super curious, at around the 1500 to $2,000 price range what do you think the best bang for your buck electric bicycle would be? Assuming they have the essential stuff like removable batteries, etc. I would like it to be in a similar shape to this bike, I don't really like the low riding ones or the cruiser ones... I don't care if it has a fat tire or regular tire and I'm mainly going to use this on the road but occasionally on a trail. And like you mentioned towards the end of this video are there any around the price range that I mentioned that goes between 20 and 28 mph that you would recommend? And possibly foldable if there are any in this criteria that I listed at this price range Edit*** jumbled my words but u get what I mean

I do like the frame but not bring able to unlock the speed is something I would never buy. I need a right hand twist throttle and this has the twist shift on the right side so that is also a deal breaker. So far I like what you once called the best ebike you had ridden at the time and that is the Cyrusher. You were able to unlock that one and it has all of the features I like. I just got mine on Monday based off all the great reviews, It's a beautiful bike. But right now I am not overly pleased with the customer service. The battery design with the attached cover sucks!! be careful with it, it's only held on with 2 small screws (one on each end) and a tiny plastic piece. Mine unfortunately came broken off, when I emailed support ( they are located in Hong Kong) they want me to mail the battery to a repair shop and wait for them to refurbish it/repair it!!!! Instead of just mailing me a new battery with a cover plate, and having me exchange this broken one. I haven't even had a chance to ride the darn bike so who knows if I'll run into other issues. What a pain in the ass, I shouldn't have to get a refurbished part for a brand new bike. So far my experience has not been fun!! Rant over lol ugh

You should take it on a mountain bike trail! I've been wondering if it could actually handle that. That would totally convince me to buy it if I could hit some blue MTB trails with it.

these hub bikes really are meant for serious offroading imo because so many wires exposed underneath bottom bracket and rear hub. good for rail trails and stuff like that though and commuting going to parks for sure.

We purchased this Vivi 27.5” electric bike and a Tentaquil 26” electric bike for our 13 and 14 year olds. kzread.infoUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ The Vivi was much easier to put together. With the Vivi, there was a video link to assist with assembly which made the process easier to follow (we did put the handlebars on upside down, but it was a quick and easy fix). With the Tentaquil, the assembly was not as simple to follow, but after we messaged the company for an assembly video, it was easier and they did respond quickly. The other major differences were that the Vivi has a grip throttle on the right handle (like a motorcycle) and the Tentaquil has a push throttle that you use your thumb to activate. The monitors were also different, so if you’re looking for something specific in terms of changing the bikes functions, pay attention to what the monitor offers. We were really impressed with the overall quality and functionality of both bikes, but if you’re looking for more power and an easier assembly, definitely go with the Vivi!

Class 2 bikes are limited to 20mph. If you want faster you need a Class 3. Just a few hundred dollars more so I'd go with one of them.

I don't think I'm a fan of this personally. The display and other features I think would be better on the GDS e bike, which if I recall was ~$300 cheaper

Btw you can take of the limiter pretty easily. Also goes fast if you pedal even thoe it goes faster than you can. Just jave to trigger the sensor.

Hi there. Quick question. Did you have to do remove the limiter to get it to go 28mph on throttle? Thanks!

@@mikew2883 Pretty sure I didn’t remove the limiter but you may want to up the amps to the max which I think is 22 so the bike has enough power to bring you there. My bike averages about 27 miles an hour I’m about 220 with all my stuff on

I bought this bike jan 3 2022 and was sent one with a bad motor. I was so upset as this was my first ebike and had no idea what tools id need to aquire and where to begin assessing this bike. Their customer service was absolutely amazing. Since there was no way to actually test out what the problem was they sent me all the replacement parts along with the tools to get the bike working. I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND THIS BIKE! It rides awesome too!

Wow, I am glad your experience was smooth with support. My cover on my battery came broken and they expect me to send that in and wait to have it refurbished, rather then just sending me a new battery and mail back the broken one. I haven't had a chance to enjoy the bike, going back and forth with them now. because I don't feel on a brand new bike I should wait weeks to get a replacement part!!
