Awesome episode watching the tint process, you should try to paint in the longest straight line as possible and usually a half spray overlap I'm no pro either but I watch house of colors KZread channel and that's what I see them do last but not least that is a beautiful bike can't wait to see you work on and ride it

Why didn't you just put the case shipment logistics onto this manufacturing bill and as you said, it's classed as a motorised scooter, no dot needed and no import duty as well as it's a sample too. Look, It's best to have a friend with a garage who can reg it up for a street legal with USA plates a V5 will come with a registered 1st owner when it's actually on the street. Or road. Then tax exemption due to being registered as a motor scooter. Then getting the proper lithium battery is when you can supe it after reg.
Put a small layer of body filler on the fiber glass repair. Since you have to repaint it anyways

Love this channel but sorry man, that diffuser deserves a much better repair than that, even if it’s not entirely visible when on the car. The rest of the work has been to a good high standard, don’t let the car down near the finale hurdle
As far as headlights goes it's hard to bet a nice new set of factory originals. Secondly nothing looks worse than stickers on windows clean that sh*t off lol Clean and respectable that's how WJ's should be lol

Don't think they did. Not their first rodeo! But if they did I can just cut around it again and peel that off before installing it.

That repair is an absolute mess. Sand it flat and get a bit of filler on it and flatten it then paint it. I wouldn’t be happy putting that on a go cart never mind a McLaren. Do it right or don’t do it. And it doesn’t matter that it’s under the car. ☹️
It's too bad that the X70 doesn't come in a different colour. It's just plain fugly.

I don't wanna be "that" guy - but *!!!NEVER!!!* ever sand fiberglass without PPE - an FFP2 at least, a respirator at best. You really don't want microscopic glass fiber dust in your lungs.
You need to work more on your fiberglass skillz... 😢, if it were me I'd redo the diffuser I'd sand it back down and do it all over again
Fibreglass should only be done from the back of the cover. This will help with structure. On the front side, cataloy to finish. Then painting will be so much better. Good attempt and a couple of thousand dollars saved.
Just realized all the smoke is probably from the fuel system cleaner additive I added to the fuel. Lol. Would explain no smoke, then suddenly smoke.
Makes sense, i hope it just needs some flushing the system with pure premium fuel

You Never sand fiberglass or carbon fiber without wearing gloves and protective clothes or your gonna be one ichy boy for days!!!!!
There is stuff here we could criticise but your man here is doing it all himself. It takes some real guts to and his own money to even try a project like this so good in you son and I’m sure you’ll learn tons along the way.

The fact that you are okay with the way the defuser came out, and ready to put it on the car! Tells me you will never get better at doing that type of work! I would be embarrassed to even do that to a Hyundai! Let alone say i fixed it!

so many weird choices lmao. body shop before engine is fixed. not sanding before fibreglass. spraying the rear diffuser instead of just doing the repair and dropping it off with the rest of the car for paint. tinting the windscreen before installing it. what are we doing lol
- paint needed whether engine is shot or not. - it'll hold fine. Haha. - tinting a windshield before installing is common.

Ypur oil was shot because of e85. Did you syfin the gas tank? Next find a manual way to measure oil pressure..your car has a tune i bet ..n u may need a oil pump
Yeah I'll have to look into that. Been thinking that may be the problem.
@TheInja look into emf auto. He does mclaren tuning. They do funky stuff with the stock on the wheel to change from tune to tune (maps) watch the 12c one were they put a tune in it and they show how to bounce from tune to tune. (Uses rpm to dictate witch map is selected) if it has old e85 it definitely has a tune. Hopefully the low oil is a senser or wire? Who knows with that car.....( poor thing had a clueless previous owner) 😕 😢 😞 but at least now its getti g the love it deserves!! 😀
@@jasonruch3529 haha for sure! To be 10000% honest, this smoke is 99% positively due to the fuel system cleaner I put in the gas 😅

Is it me or did they tint that screen right to the edge? If that have that tint around the edge will need to come off before it fitted

You're a mad man sending it to the body shop and spending that money before even figuring out if the engine is salvageable.
Gonna have to happen at some point. If the engine is shot, a fully complete car would either be better for sale value or necessary anyway if we swapped the engine.
@TheInja bro end of the day, you have a McLaren in your garage which is way better then having a shitbox Civic. You can always swap engine if that's the case, and if money is an issue then take some money from your house mortgage. #WhateverItTakes

I mean, upside, if he did just show you what to do any then ghost while you're in there with all his tools, you'd learn some new skills at least. lol
Yeah, that was the goal. Give him a fair deal and learn some things in the process.
I’m loving your build - but there must be something I’m missing about the tint on the windshield. So if it gets tinted before it goes on the car, doesn’t that mean that it will really be the tint film that is bonded to the car and not the actual glass?
ABSOLUTELY... they should have trimmed it back away from the bonding area!
