    Your truck looks amazing! Thanks for the video. Most videos focus on the install and nothing about living with it afterwards. How does the truck ride compared to the stock suspect? Mine rides smooth in stock form and I don't want to lose that aspect when I lift it. And how much rake did the Mopar lift leave on the truck?

  • @BullGearOffRoad

    @BullGearOffRoad

    2 жыл бұрын

    Thanks Derek, I do like the ride and I must say the mopar lift feels factory to me. I still had some rake to it but a 3/4" daystar lift fixed the rake. Since then, I've added a 3/4" rear Daystar lift too because of the weight I now have back there. So far, I've been pleased with it.

    Nice video man. Which 3/4" front level did you go with? Did you just keep the mopar 2" lift kit bump stops in or replace those with the leveling kit bump stops? Are those the Black Rhino Armory rims? Are they 17x8? Thanks man and I appreciate all the info you put out! Getting my mopar 2" lift installed this week.

  • @BullGearOffRoad

    @BullGearOffRoad

    Hi Micah, thanks for reaching out. I went with a Daystar leveling kit. You keep the Mopar bump stops and the kit is actually two spacers that go above the coil springs so It's you maintain the factory ride. It's been about 10 months now and I must say I'm pretty pleased still with the ride. I just need to add the rear kit now because of the added weight I have currently. that will also be a Daystar kit.

  • @CoeShow619
    @CoeShow6193 жыл бұрын

    ok , you've had it installed for a few months now, how is it ? Did it settle at all? Did the shocks fade? Do you wish you got a kit with an adjustable control arm? I have a Gladiator Rubicon with the stock red fox shocks, and it sit's stinkbug and sways too much like a Cadilacc. Does the Mopar lift sit level? Did it align with enough castor? I'm about to buy a lift, so thanks for the help.

  • @BullGearOffRoad

    @BullGearOffRoad

    3 жыл бұрын

    So it's definitely settled but I don't think I've lost anything in terms of lift. The rear springs do feel softer and I feel I may need more there. I was able to get it aligned to the recommended settings as far caster/toe. I did end up getting a SteerSmarts adjustable track bar and that really helped in terms of steering wheel dampening.

    @@BullGearOffRoad Thanks, I thought of one more thing. I am a very experienced mechanic and understand the whole installation process and have the ability to do it myself. Thanks! It is not necessary to replace the trackbar with this kit as it only moves the axle about 1/2 inch off center however I did replace the trackbar with an adjustable trackbar because I also added a 3/4 inch leveling kit... plus it helps tighten up the steering a bit.

    Encounter any rubbing at full flex at all? Looked very close in a few video shots. Hope you tested at full articulation. I guess with the offset and backspacing this helped out a lot if there was no rubbing. I went with a 3 1/2 clayton lift kit. with a -12 mm offset rim and 4.5 inch backspacing.

    @@TheLakeShow323 3/4" is just the leveling kit. The lift on the jeep is 2" plus a 3/4" inch leveling kit up front so technically the front of my Jeep is 2 3/4" with leveling kit and 2" in the rear. If you were to do no lift but just wanted to level the front of the Jeep, you would need a 1.5" leveling kit up front. Does that make sense?
