Testing out the BAOFENG UV-5R M on a local Dog Walk.

out walking the dogs with the UV-5R M from BAOFENG.
The radio is a good receiver and also covers the air bands.
I pre-programmed the memory channels using CHIRP software and it's working well for a budget radio.
power output is advertised as 10w but it's more like 7 watts which is pretty cool.
I like the radio especially the build quality. 73 tnx for watching.

Got my self same radio I use it when am in the back garden works very well . value for the money

Hi buddy yes I am enjoying the same kind of thing out in the garden. Cheap enough to leave out in between brews.
Great to see you going back to basics. People overlook how powerful and useful these radios are. Just a FM handheld you can work the space station make friends. You can work over 100 miles I sure have done 73 great work.

I agree totally they are too cheap that you have to try one for sure. The trouble is they make a new one every week it seems and I can't resist buying lol.

Lol yes 1st place for sure 😁. It's across the valley on the opposite hill from my Qth. The place I called CQ is Druids Alter a rock with a view where ancient sacrificial rituals took place. There are quite a few stone circles and druid type rock remains local. This one is found in Bingley West Yorkshire. As for the woodland statue I forgot to tell you I am the Lord of the area around here lol. 😁

Good job I can afford and have the top end YAESU but still I don't agree with you. I would say made cheap to flood the market and take over the world more likely.
