You will have MUCH better results if you condition your stamps before using....several methods available but I usually rub a new stamp on the back side of my arm (elbow area) rub till the stamp loses its glossy sheen.....it will actually stamp better if it looks kinda dirty/cloudy. This allows the ink to stick to the stamp better. This trick is from back in my Close To My Heart Days. The biggest game changer for my stamping was buying a MISTI Most Incredible Stamping Tool Invented - HUGE stamping LIFE CHANGER

Also, if you don't have a stamping platform, at least use a thin foam under the paper so it has a little "give", allowing for a better impression.

Using a foam stamping mat will ensure a crisp, clean impression the majority of the time. If you cannot locate one, use a sheet of thick craft foam, or even several thicknesses of newspaper, or a magazine under your paper that you're stamping onto. You need the "give" of that mat to allow the paper to give way enough to come up and meet the rubber or polymer stamp fully. It truly makes a world of difference in your results!

I have that dragonfly stamp from Temu as well. I “cleaned” my stamp first, I guess some call it conditioning, and it was pretty much perfect from the start. I also have a stamping platform that I use for bigger stamps, so that could’ve been part of it too. Honestly, I’ve been pretty happy with all the stamps I’ve gotten from Temu, but I find cleaning the stamp first is beneficial for any stamp I’ve bought regardless of where I’ve gotten it or how much I’ve spent on it.

try putting more ink on your pad and put some foam under your paper. For big stamps you need to “walk your fingers” on all areas and maybe use a Misti type tool so you can repeat the ink on your stamp. It also helps to wash the stamps before you use it.

One other suggestion for the larger stamps. Lay the stamp on it's back (after having cleaned it per suggestions below), ink up the stamp and then lay your paper on top. Give the stamp a gentle back rub making sure your fingers make contact with all parts of the stamps. Makes it much easier. I prefer to use the regular size ink pad and add my ink in a downward movement vs taking the stamp to the ink. Hope that helps a little.

You need a MIsti or other stamping platform when stamping large stamps, especially if they are new stamps. Stamps usually always need to be seasoned, it sometimes takes 3 or 4 times stamping an image to get a good stamp. You simply can not do it with a stamp block because you will never be able to stamp in the same place without a stamping platform. Glad to know the stamps did ultimately end up stamping pretty well with the smaller stamps using a stamp block.

I have that Dragonfly stamp and have no problem stamping with it. I did condition the stamp and use a stamping mat underneath. I bought a expensive stamp on line from a well known online crafting store and have problems with it. I conditioned it, used stamping pad. Just awful I inked it very well and always in the same spots it would skip. You never know. I also had good luck with Temu dies. Bought many stamps from Temu. So far I had good luck.

Time spent in preparation is never wasted. Clean the stamp first, and stamp with a pad of paper or something spongy under your substrate so the stamp has something softer to work on. Cheap stamps can work but you need to take more care with them to get better results. Good luck, it is a lovely design and hopefully you can get better impressions are you use it more. Liz in the UK

for the longer narrower dies, try and keep them toward the edges of your big shot (or similar) where the most pressure is. and likely you will need to run it through twice. if it is wider and needs to be near the center of the plate, run it through once then turn the plate around, without moving or altering the die position, and run it through again so the die is embossed with different parts of the roller mechanism. if you find it is still not quite right, using a metal shim is the easiest fix. if you do not have a metal shim, then when turning the plate around to run it through the second time, put a folded piece of printer paper mostly in the center area of the plate over the die cut and run it through. i have a large 12" big shot that i use for apertures on card fronts that don't fit through the normal size machine and i definitely have to use a paper shim in the middle. honestly, all machines are different and you just need to find a quick and cheap fix to see how to improve the precision of your machine. folded copy paper or scrap paper that is at least the size of your die cut is the cheapest fix and usually is all you need for that little extra pressure. again, so many different ideas on how to make a better diecut image. i am fully confident that with a little practice, you will come to know what dies need the little extra help and what dies are just fine with the regular sandwich for your machine. as with my other comment, i feel that since the video has been out for a while, you have likely figured out all of this!

i've never conditioned my stamps (from any company) or put a foam mat underneath and have never had a problem with it stamping. whith small stamps on a block or larger stamps on a platform. the only difference i notice with the silicone stamps (cheaper stamps) is that as you ink it up, it doesn't look like it has good coverage over the image. but when you stamp it, you can see the ink spread along the image lines onto the paper for a full stamped image. i do notice that if you look really closely, the stamped lines look a tad blurry or rough which doesn't happen with the polymer stamps. but honestly, for regular stamping and coloring, the difference in the stamped lines is so minimal, not really even noticed by the average eye. for your troublesome dragon fly image, look at the stamp from the side when it is on the block. does it look like it is a little curved down or shallower in the area that it is not stamping? perhaps it got a little squished in the packaging by a smaller item pressing up against it. this happened to me once. i took it off the block and manipulated it in different ways (without actually fully bending it or ripping it) and it seemed to help a bit. i know now that it needs a little extra pressure in the spot that is not printing properly. so many reasons why this type of stamped image happens! and even more ways to fix it! its been a while since this video has been out and i hope you were able to get the stamp to work. it is a really nice image!

Looks like all the tips I was going to suggest have already been suggested. Prime stamp, stamping positioner, and mat underneath. They actually look pretty good.

Hi I love your videos and I’m new to stamping I was wondering if it was worth buying a misty because I don’t make cards everyday

Hello Super-mario _guy I have made all my card without a Misty, but I have heard good things about using the Misty. If you want exact placement of your stamps the Misty is great tool for that.

You need a Misty to stamp that.

You had an air bubble under your stamp on leaf stamp right where it didn’t stamp. Make sure you don’t have air pockets under large stamps

Condition your stamp first. Just rub the heck out of it with your finger, palm or on your arm. Then if you don't want to get out your stamping platform use something underneath your card with some give. Like a sheet of fun foam or even a paper pad. You can also lay paper to stamp. Then use the flat of your hand to add pressure. I still prefer using some kind of pad underneath.

Many of Temu stamps and dies are rip off of designs by Stamp designers in the US. Stamps are silicon and not as good as the legitimate designers stamps.

Any stamp should be conditioned before using, and a stamp as large as that dragonfly would surely stamp better using a stamp platform and multiple inkings.

Your new ink pad doesn't look new. A block is not the best method for the big stamps
