    It looks like the Milwaukee battery is the tradition 1850 cells...I wonder what would be the difference of the Milwaukee had the HighOutput cells? The results would be significantly different for even a Milwaukee comparison using the newer batteries. Also the impact drill they used in 3 generations older than what is currently on the market for the Milwaukee drill that was just released this year. It’s a good marketing scheme by FLEX to use these older technologies to compare their new tools, but still not convinced unless a 3rd party performs a more “real” analysis comparing the newest tools from the respected brands

    @Derek Claycomb I would agree with Stan. All the tools did seem impressive. Lots of rather negative opinions about the Flex line because it may not be the BEST. To me that's not the point. It appears to be at least able to compete with the best. Price and warranty seems similar to Milwaukie and I think competition is good. I appreciate brand loyalty but that may be what is also making my initial impression of Flex tools being positive as I am an Ego fan whose parent company is the same as Flex. The white drill is a Milwaukee fuel 2804 fuel btw. Which is not the top performing drill in the market. It’s outclassed by DeWalt, Kobalt And Makita newest drill. It also gets a boost with a bigger ah battery. Which would be a fair comparison because a 6ah 18v 21700 battery has same watt hour as a “24” (21.6) v battery.

    An auger bit doesnt care how hard you push on it only how many ripens it gets with enough torque at that rpm. The rep said it won because it had a turbo button that increases rpm. As a machinist would say, if you increase the speed you can increase the feed.

    Thanks for the video Stan, really nice tools. As I am told by a power tool supplier Flex has been around in Germany since the 1920’s and was subsequently purchased by Chervon a company in China that also owns Skil. They have been trying to break into the North American professional market since 2013. Tools are made in Germany and will set you back a small fortune to purchase but quality and performance are top notch.

    I’m curious to see how the fuel drill with a high output battery would compare to the flex with turbo on. Fuel tools don’t work at their full potential with a standard 5.0ah battery. I get that they’re comparing apples to apples, but would a fuel drill with a high output battery be a more worthy opponent?

  • @steffendetrick9403

    @steffendetrick9403

    It’s not really apples to apples because they’re bragging about their turbo mode which pulls more power and can only be sustained in short intervals. Apples to apples would’ve been with the high output battery if they’re using their “turbo button”that’s what Milwaukee offers but they’re not interested in a straight up comparison.

I really love the variable speed grinders (I am a FT remodeler and do a lot of work w granite) I've been waiting a while for someone to include variable speed on a cordless grinder w enough power to cut & Fab 3cm. That 6.5" circ saw design is pretty genius too, cant wait to see how they perform vs competitors. As they didn't quote many power figures other than for drills & impacts but I'm guessing they won't disappoint. Thanks for the vid✌

But, what matters is your video is up, tools n action is up soon to. And i get to watch great content from y’all. But man oh man, today was very hectic. From big events in the news sadly, to school and knowing that i have a quiz tomorrow, my science teachers are diving right in. Good people, just want us to learn, can’t blame them or wantin to get the heavy stuff out the way. So Stan, how was your Monday, stay safe, things are goin don in Michigan, i don’t mean to bring it down like that, sorry, but your family’s safety was in my head when the news broke this morning. I don’t want you or anyone getting hurt, things just gotta get figured out man. Anyways, on o a lighter subject, after school, i went to some stores with my mom, we then went he, and the went back out and got some pretzel hotdogs from the pretzel factory, and French fries from the McDonald’s. But the best part was, the manager gave us our order for free. I was shocked. But i guess god has a way of blessing us. And then i was catching up on the news and i herd of the school shooting. Broke my heart. But that heroic officer I believe saved many lives, and put himself in harms way, but i still feel sad, your video will make me feel the opposite tho, your video will bring the best in me, i will make we want to buy flex tools even tho i buy my dad dewalt tools and we just use them when we need.but, Stan, i hope I didn’t make you sad or disappoint you, just, lots of things weigh is down, and you always seem yo be the light to guid everyone to the right path with your knowledge. Anyways, you have a great night, stay safe Stan, from your pal Alexander costa.

Maybe ask why they were comparing their top of the line recip saw with Milwaukee's mid level recip and not their top of the line model. Flex seems suspect.
