Seems like a good option if your Joycons get bad drift and you don't have the time to fix it yourself, or as emergency Joycons when that happens and you gotta wait for the parts in the meantime. Or for people on a tight budget who buy the Switch in parts (you can get just the main unit witself with othing else for fairly cheap sometimes). Good to have them as an option for sure.

Exactly! These are the kind you want to lend to someone for multiplayer or to abuse in smash Brothers or to swing around wildly in switch sports!

One of the best reviews of these out there! So many people do an unboxing connect them open a game for 30 seconds and say “wow these are great!” Haha. I bought a pair off Amazon that looked like the OG neon red and neon blue joy cons for about $30USD and they SEEMED good at first but then they were dropping connection every 5-10 minutes and I’d have to reconnect making them pretty useless. I was able to return them but I did notice the listing had been pulled down and it was like they never existed. Instead I bought some official ones from Walmart online for about $60 on sale. They arrived today and they are European ones so we’ll see if they work, or if they are just a better knockoff. The packaging and everything looks legit. I’ve bought a few things off Amazon and Walmart for the switch at a discount that when they arrived were European editions. Not sure why it’s cheaper for Euro version to be sold in the USA but so far I haven’t had any issues.

Thanks Just J! I've avoided these for yearsssss but I needed a few extra pairs for party games and didn't want to drop $150+ 😭 It's definitely a user beware situation but the 30 day returns are a huge plus on Amazon! It's been a while now and each pair we bought still work so fingers crossed :O BUT yeah, if you can find official ones at a discount like that, it's easily much more worth it!

I have a long way to go with the face cam lol My setup wasn't working with the DSLR so I switched to a webcam :[[[[ BUT i'll get it sorted :D

0:45 can vouch for that - had issues with stick drift on a third party joycon and amazon replaced it.

I can also relate to your problems with the Pokemon controllers, and they work pretty well with any game you choose to play. A problem for me was that the motion controls were not always accurate. In Nintendo Switch Sports' Golf, I had trouble swinging the club with the knockoffs because the sport required precise shots to get the ball going. I wanna use my officials but they all have drift and they're expensive to buy. It didn't stop me from playing though, it actually got me to have fun with them. After figuring out how sensitive they are, I learned I only needed to snap the controller a little bit to get a full power swing. Knowing this I've mastered them at every sport and I am C rank in Bowling now. P.S. The C buttons on the Left controller just don't feel right when pressing them.

I had that issue but then I went into the settings and recalibrated and it fixed it! Try that! If not, i'd suggest returning for a replacement! But yeah, as you said, we can all adjust to quirks like that :D

I just ordered a pair for $13.56 with free shipping and bundled with a velcro cable organizer and micro usb cable (I actually have these last two as filler products just to get the free shipping). The caveat is that it will come in at least 2 weeks and the quality will be 50/50 with little warranty claims since it will come directly from the manufacturer in China. I also doubt they are hall effect sticks just based on looks. Not an issue for I will buy the hall effect kits anyway. If these come out pretty good on my end, I might just replace the sticks in these instead of my official V1 joycons since my official V1 is really not in a good shape outside of drift issues (loose rails, shoulder springs slowly becoming rigid, etc) anyway. These seem like good OEM imitations so I'll be more than glad to have one. Thanks to this review I know what to expect in the coming weeks.

They won't work Oretal! Ring Fit needs an IR sensor :O So i'm using these for party games and the official ones are permanently attached to my ring fit setup lol

they're still working! used them for a few party's, no drift or battery issues :O but like I said, if you get some, test em out a LOT within the first 30 days!

Nah. Pass on these fake ones. Better buy other worthy alternatives. As much as I like to get an official joy cons, I don't like the tiny analogs. Too uncomfortable for me playing 5-6 hours handheld. That's why I bought mobapad m6(older model) and I like it for the hori split pad pro looks. It consumes more battery on my switch because it doesn't have its own battery like joycons. And I'm thinking of getting the newer one M6 HD(still cheaper and IMHO way better than official joycons).

Do they have the nintendo markings in the back? Some guy is selling some on offer up for $80. The splatoon ones, but I can't tell if they are knock offs..

no, these do not. if they have the fine text from Nintendo, there's a higher chance those are authentic! just check all the details!

honestly a lot of these knockoff brands have a ton of decent stuff. I bought a pro controller replica and it works perfectly even almost a year later. Maybe I'll get one of these so my younger cousins can play a bit rougher with them!

design wise, i like the pokemon ones the best! the platoon ones are a slighttttt 2nd BUT the splatoon ones are also feel very very slightly better!

People say they will only buy if they don't drift lol, these are cheaper than the original, if the performance feels like the original these ones are already better because they are cheap. Lol

We've been using it a lot with switch sports! They work great! I also started testing them on Super Mario Party and all the motion controls work well! Although we prefer Mario party Superstars since it doesn't have the motion controls 🤣

Keep in mind you can also try to repair your joy-cons and swap out the default sticks with hall effect joysticks that you can buy! But it is a hassle :0
