LED emulsions are great for LED exposure unites. With your setup you'd be able to expose white mesh at 15 seconds and yellow mesh at 25 seconds.

Yes. Unfortunately I'm using a low quality Emulsion. I do however one day to wish to change to a better Emulsion but that will only be reasonable once I'm doing more print jobs.

To get the hard to remove emulsion from the corners I use a Dehazer from Performance Screen. Works great.

Hola amigo! If you can get your hands on a pump action spray bottle get one. (normally used for gardening) It makes washing out screens easier than a spray bottle! I know because we used to use a spray bottle too!! have a good one amigo!

Yea, I've been told about that. I have thought about it but haven't yet went for it. But maybe in the future unless I switch emulsion and just go with using the high pressure washer.

We have similar light source. Mine takes 2 minutes. I personally like slow burning coz I don't mind some minor pre exposure. Uv led burns from front to back which makes it better than my old lightsource using just fluorescent tubes. Kudos amigo (not sure if it's right 😀😀)

Yes, I don't really mind the time for my screen. It's way better than the 10 minutes I use give it with my white flood light.

I love the exposure system but I don't like those stones on top. Because a novice / apprentice in your shop may one day destroy your glass if not very careful. Try to build it up by adding a vacuum blanket and machine, to prevent future accidents.

For me, I usually do 45lpi and 45° but I may start experimenting with other angles

Was that film printed on the canon 6820 printer? They look very dark.

You have good results with your UV light exposure unit ! I've made one too but not with strips. I use multiple UV led flood light instead. But I haven't find yet a good emulsion to use with uv led. Can you telle me what emulsion are you using ? Thanks

Thanks. And well, I just use the most affordable Emulsion that they sell here locally by a company call "Sanchez" I plan on buying a better Emulsion that will work easier with my UV light.

Crazy a lot of shops spend a small fortune on their equipment and you doing it at a small fraction of the cost. Bought a 30W led black light to expose. Would you have a recommendation on exposure time since you've used one? Thanks in advance amigo.

@@TheInkBuildUp look up "pump pressure sprayer" on Amazon. Maybe it would be interesting for you? You can pump it up by hand before you expose your screen, then when you take your screen out for washout, you can just spray them with some pressure and more evenly. No power or hose needed, just water and some exercise! You could also use it to wash away the emulsion off your step! You can get some big ones you wear on your back with a long pump lever, or smaller ones that you hold or leave on the floor. If you watch some KZread videos, you can see how long the pressure will last and the kind of spray you can get. Well done Amigo, you are moving forwards!

Sabes q tigre . ahora viendo tu video . tu me has ayudado mucho . me dijiste sobre la malla . ya q yo vivo en ny . me dijiste sobre la luz uv y casi compro una printer como la tuya . sólo q ya no había . yo hice una mesa de revelado casera y me funcionó ahora mismo man . con 45 segundos . quiza si le doy 50 . osea por ahí verdad . pero salió . osea . q la luz q tienes también funciona . gracias man . eres un caballo en el arte

Pues en la malla blanca, le di 2 minutos con emulsion Sanchez, la de malla amarilla le voy a que tener que calcular mejor, ya que me equivoque en mis tiempos cuando hice unas pruebas.

@@norfally.serigrafia Pues cada una tiene su uso. Los LED me gustan ya que asi, puedo revelar marcos grandes con confianza que la luz lumpra parejo. Con la Flood Light, pues puedes decir que el centro simpre va estar mas fuerte. Pero tambien, las de LED, ay una posilidad que, no lumpra tan fuerte si usas muchos rollos y el adapador no es el correcto. La mera verdad, la Flood Light, es mas facil. Ya que, solamente lo conectas y as pruebas de la distancia.

@@TheInkBuildUp yo he estado investigando para hacer mi unidad de exposicion, el asunto es q la gran mayoría de las personas que fabrican su unidad no realizan cálculos de distancia entre LED y LED y la distancia entre los LED y el vidrio tomando en cuenta el angulo de luz q emiten los LED, si logras hacer tu unidad tomando en cuenta esas distancias creo q podrías mejorar los tiempos y los detalles de lineas finas y tramas pequeñas

@@norfally.serigrafia Si entiendo, ay muchos factores que afectan tu resultado. Asta la emulsion que usas afecta ya que unos estan hechas para que sean revelado con luces LED y de UV. Pero en todo, uno puedo revelar con calquiera luz, pero, se necesitan muchas pruebas para te salga bien. Un dolor de cabeza pero vale la pena ya cuando uno lo logra.

Would a 30W UV flood light be good to burn screens?

For the the small wood screen Im not really sure. The large wood screen was 90t. The GoldUp screen where it washed off was 43t, the eBay screen was like a 63t mesh.

Which side of coater are u using? Sharp or thik side?

Well this only has a thin side to scoop.

I love your work but you have to start writing things down. Get a Sharpie and mark what works on the screen frames and start a notebook to record what achieves your best results. Thanks for your posts, I'm learning so much ....... and some of that from what doesn't work!

Thanks and I totally agree. On my latest video I realized how the time I said I was giving my screens was not correct. haha. embarrasing, but lately I just burned some screens and I got perfect results. And this time I actually wrote down my times next to my timer. So I won't forget. lol. Will make sure to mention that on my next video.

To press your design uniformly place a rectangular glass over it. You don't Need to put so much weight on it.

If you care about your eyes, you'll find another way to hold down that emulsion. Long-term exposure to even small amounts of UV radiation can increase your risk of developing a cataract or macular degeneration. UV exposure adds up over time. Long-term UV exposure can also causes tissue elevations on the surface of your eye. These are called pingueculae and pterygia. Using sunglasses faithfully when outdoors may limit these. Blue and violet shorter-wavelength visible light, emitted from LED lights, computers and smartphones can also be harmful to your retina and be a risk factor for macular degeneration later in life. Cover that Exposure box before you go blind!

Thanks for all the info Amigo. And no worries, I'm already exposing differently. I now place some water jugs on top of the screen for the weight. I no longer hold it myself. But now as you mentioned, I'm also going to start putting a dark sheet over everything just to be extra safe.

If you want to try the emulsion with the short life span then just mix half of it. This is what i did.

I now place some water jugs on a piece of wood. Only did the rocks because I always wait for the last-minute to think of something. Didn't have anything heavy so I just went for the rocks outside. But no worries, I heard a lot mentioned that I don't need that much pressure.
