Testing Dan Hurds Gold Ore For Rich Gold & Silver
Ғылым және технология
Join us on an extraordinary prospecting collaboration as @Danhurd brings 5 diverse gold ore samples to Jason at Mt. Baker Mining and Metals for comprehensive testing with the help of @mineoperator
In today's riveting video, witness the meticulous process unfold as Jason employs the powerful 6x10 jaw crusher to break down larger pieces of gold ore into gravel-sized particles. The journey continues as the gravel-sized ore ventures into the hammer mill, transforming into a fine powder that liberates the gold and other precious metals for concentration.
The pinnacle of this refining saga takes place on the Mt. Baker Mining and Metals shaker table. This sophisticated equipment separates the valuable, dense metals from the gangue, leaving behind only the high-grade concentrates ready for the final gold refining step.
The big question looms: Will any of Dan's samples prove rich enough to warrant continued prospecting? The suspense builds, and the answer awaits in this captivating video!
Stay tuned to discover the verdict and to witness the collaborative journey of testing, refining, and extracting precious metals. Don't forget to like, subscribe, and hit the notification bell to stay updated on the exciting world of gold prospecting!

It's a great time for us also Jason. Thanks.
i met dan at a public restroom in 1998. back then he wasn't panning for gold, but rather, selling "Dan Hurd's Man Turds", which he sold in canvas bags. Each bag contained 5 pounds of high grade sand with only the finest human fecal materials mixed. The precise contents of each bag was a mystery, and for my 40 dollars, I was rewarded with a bounty of predigested corn and some floss he accidentally swallowed. Thank you dan for your service.
I know these colabs are hard to arange. But they are the best vids out there. Great coffee break guys.
Jason, I agree. The best part of KZread is the collaboration between different content creators like you three guys I watch all your videos. They are a lot of fun thank you.

Imagine how much gold is in the machines, ground, slag and crucibles around Jason’s place. I hope you and Dan continue to collaborate in the future. 🍻👍
Jason and Harry... The most patient people on Earth. 👍
Love how you and @Danhurd share back and forth content.
You got some great buddies there, Jason... Always keen to see how you process the quartz ore.... 👍🙏🙂✅🇳🇿
I can’t get enough of these collabs. Keep ‘em coming.
I feel like you all are my extended family along with Brent @ Cerro Gordo. You all make me smile when I see your videos. ❤
It's always a good weekend to see Jason and Dan.
Jason,Dan and Harry, Thank you, fun vlog! Cheers, Rik Spector
I really enjoy your collabs, you guys allow me to go places I can no longer go, because spinal injuries.
Funny, Dan seemed a bit under the weather or tired in the beginning of the vid but by the time the gold started running across the table he was 100% Dan!

Nicely done keeping Dan out of trouble 👍 👏 he's happy now and helping fellow prospector great!!!; )
noticed the fire brick stuck to the crucible put a bit of cardboard underneath it next time to prevent that
The best ore that I have found from next to a river were two pieces of quartz weighing about 2.5lbs. So roughly 3x3” round river rocks. Upon crushing and panning, to my surprise, there was .3 grams of gold! Some quick math gives a assay of 7.7 oz per ton!
I like the camaraderie you all have. It reminds me of fishing, just one more cast and you'd never know your luck.😊
Nice collab, Jason, Dan and Harry, ... heavy pans too ya! 🍀⛏⚒⛏ Merry Christmas to you and yours 🎄 A prosperous New Year to come 🍻Cheers.
Lol😂 "can i touch it"? Hell of a way to find out...that coulda hurt!
So awesome I seriously love watching your Chanel!! So much information I learn every time! Thank you for sharing with us
Loved the film of you and Dan in The Cascades.
Great video...we enjoy the collaborations too!!
That old VW in the background is very cool they made kits to convert the vw engine into a air compressor
Хорошее видео, хороший стол. И компания хорошая. Ждём ещё видео. Продолжай. Нам интересно.. .
Your kit is top notch, well made, well designed. Great work.
Have been enjoying these collabs, best part is there's some similarities between channels but each video is unique. Keep them coming!
a friend of mine had really fine gold that wasn't being separated by tables. he ran the ore through a roller mill to crush everything super fine and then screened everything. the screens let the tailings through, but the gold was crushed flat and thin, so he was able to collect the gold from the screens.
Neat video Jason. Love seeing what Dan brings in to your machines, to find what he has on some of his claims. Your knowledge combined, and good humor with Dan and Harry is fun. Hope your getting your fi dings from your mine ready to find how much gold. Can't wait..
Thank you. Keep working, good luck.
Jason you are a true menace. A lot of fun to watch. I don’t miss too many of your videos. Keep up the good work… I hope that you and Dan hit the mother lode on one of your collaborations.
Great video guys! I am really impressed by that shaker table!
Always enjoy the collaboration too!
It's awesome watching you 3. Cool stuff.
Very cool guys. Thanks for sharing
Cleanup days are my favorite days
All good stuff. Thanks!! Season greetings and a golden new year~~
Good job I love what your showing its the real work that goes into a gold miners life
Good job, Guys.....it's been educational for me and I thank you.....
Found this channel through Dan's, loving the content and your experiences! Lots of fun watching these. Keep up the awesome work guys!
Glad to see you using clear water for final pan out.. Much better view ability, especially with low light conditions
Jason, great way to break into a Saturday brunch.... how's the weather going at your mine?.....⚒️💪🤙⚖️🤠
Sad I missed you when you were down in Vegas to collab with Jeff W. Hopefully you will get together in the future. It would be great fun to head back down his mine. Looking forward to recollaring that beast. A bit sketchy at the top. 🙂
So much fun it's always a good time when y'all get together thanks for sharing this six stars
OK Jason, Dan got me a couple days ago, you got me today.. Starting to enjoy watching if for no other reason than to expand my horizons.. Always had some interest in geology but you AIN'T gonna get me down in some sketchy mine shaft.. I'm 6'7" @ 270lbs, 70yrs old and to set in my ways to crawl down a glorified rabbit hole.. lol.. Let me find your buddies channel and I'll probably subscribe there as well.. Stay Safe..
So much fun to watch!
You are getting the views on this video. Congrats!
Great collaboration guys! Merry Christmas to all!
Jason, if you put a little piece of cardboard under the crucible, in the furnace, your bricks won't stick. That's a cool trick that the guy on BigstackD does.

Did I miss the solution to fix the gold loss from tailings that Dan brought ?
Got a 3-fer today on the collab. All 3 channels are great.
Put a piece of cardboard down on the brick before you put the crucible in. It will keep the brick from sticking to the crucible. Gr eat to see two of my favorite youtubers together. Love your videos and i cant wait to get my own sandbag from your mine!
Cheers Jason
Top of the line equipment!
Thanks for the video and insight. It is amazing how many additional resources are used to go from dirt to a consumer grade product. Must be a better way.
Love to see all the work you do. It would be interesting to have you show a flow chart how things works. High xyz the do this path A.... If pdq is present then path B. It would help me understand more.
love seeing your table be put to work to further prove tailings from someone who already ran them and result in a significant amount of recaptured gold proving your ore processing equipment is worth every penny...hope he buys one of your tables and puts it to good use brother!
Jason your tables are amazing at density seperation producing a very fine smelting product,do u have any videos of the table being used to clean gold from a large placer production run?
Dan Hurd Reminds Me Of Prospector From Toy Story 2 😂😂😂
Always good vids worth watching 😊
you sold your auger or is it in storage for winter?
Now that's a crucible!
Thank you Jason!
Love these collabs. We need a series with jeff Williams in the mix and have streetips refine everything
Another great video guys !!! I got the fever but I live in the wrong state lol Mountaineers always free!!!
Keep up the great work!
Wish I didn’t live a million light years away I’d love to work for this guy seems like fun legit hard work
Sweet sharing Jason 😅
if you put peace carboard in between your pot ant stool it wont stick to it. the ash from carboard will keep it from sticking
Always bothers me when the cone-mold overflows. Heavy stuff only runs into the mold only at the end?
And there's Dan looking for picks. 😊😊😊😊😊
36 👍's up mbmllc thank you for sharing 😊
Greetings from the BIG SKY. Lots of gold, I'd bet.
Dan made mention that one claim had gold, silver and copper. Can you extract all 3, or do you lose 2 to get the gold???
@susanturcotte3176
5 ай бұрын
Excellent question, Charles. After watching many of Jason's smelting of cons, I think it becomes at least a 2 part process. However, it is my guess. Get rid of the copper, then separate gold and silver (if you want to do it). I've seen many 'less golden' beads where he, or Dan, judges the percentage of the button on its color.
@dbracer
5 ай бұрын
The end bead contains both the gold and the silver, any copper goes into the coupelle as an oxide.
9:15 @bigstckD taught me that cardboard would keep that firebrick from sticking 😂
Do you use detergents in the shaker tables or is that just protein that's foaming up?
Make sure to put some cardboard down to prevent the crucible sticking to your firebrick :) Something I learned from watching bigstackd's channel.
Always interesting to see the results of these crushes! When panning hard rock soil samples or crush, I always use a black pan. It's almost impossible to see the super small stuff against the Green Garrett pans (which I love and use all the time for placer). Some of the hard rock gold in my area may even be electrum (a silver/gold alloy), which lowers the specific gravity somewhat and makes it a bit harder to see against the pan.

When spoke about tailings I noticed the right side your collector cup or canister is too close to the edge as I can see its wash your water off the table. Flakes float as I see there isn't much surfactant in the water or at least I don't see bubbles!
Lol at the shitty concentrate buckets, love seeing Jason and dan and the rest of the boys make do with what they have and keeping it real

Отличная работа!
The raw video you guys take is like raw ore, it is processed and filtered into the gold that is your content. High yield product,
Watching from somewhere close to Fort Knox, Kentucky.
Jason how often do you have to dig out the in ground tank ? Thanks agian John
Funny to see Dan's camera, just wrapped up in a THICK coat of protective casing lol
Nice work
Another great collab. Isnt there another way to pick up the crucibles than using channel locks?
Good stuff guys
I enjoyed watching
