Blue Chip Gold Mine - Smelting the GOLD results!
Part 2 of Jason's and my adventure tot he blue chip mine, in part one we collect 300+ lbs of gold bearing quartz ore, from both inside and outside the mine. In this video we take it back to Jason's Crushers, and shaker table to concentrate the ore, and then smelt down the concentrate. Today's test is trying to see how much of the gold is tied up in the sulfides and how much is free milled.

Awesome that you have a friend like Jason, willing to help educate and inform! Also great that you two have so much in common, and the enthusiasm to learn anything new is contagious with both of you! I love watching both of you together! Where one is not sure, the other has some insight, and vice-versa! When neither has a clue, it heads first into finding an answer!!! Awesome video collaboration!

Hey Dan & Jason, Any day with Dan, Jason and Gold is a great day ! I really enjoy being able to tag along via these videos. I am fascinated with the heavy equipment as well as the process of smelting. Thanks guys Stay Safe, Be Well Enjoy Life
Thanks to the both of you. It is good to know that not all mines are productive, all ore taken is unique to each specimen with sulfides. Usually, the deeper the vein yields are higher in concentrates because of thermal intrusions. What a learning experience!
I’ve been binge watching your episodes for the last few days. I’ve never prospected or panned for gold but I’m already planning my first trip. Thanks for all the awesome, informative videos Dan!

I'm loving the slow mo portions of the video and I'd love to see more. It's so cool seeing how things happen in that kind of detail!
I saw the sly grin Jason when you asked Dan if he wanted to try out his panning skills. Your like two world class prospectors. yes I loved the grin. ❤❤❤
Loved all of the processing equipment used in this video; very nice! Appreciate you going through the whole process in one video so we could see bucket to beads.
When Jason was shaking the bottle to get the gold out of the bottle, I caught myself shaking my tablet. I would like to thank both you Dan and Jason for making this video together ❤
I found yours's and Jason's videos very interesting and a joy to watch. Thanks for bringing us along on your action-packed adventures.

Always look forward to my Sunday Dan Hurd video, and they are even better with Jason involved.
So excited to have found both your channels. Thank you SO MUCH
Love your guy's flow. I remember when you were teaching the kids about prospecting on your channel. It's great that you still give us the time to show us how to get that gold! Be safe out there brothers. Keep on keepin on friends.

Greetings from the BIG SKY. Nice to see both a Canukian and gringos mining together. I haven't seen a lick of 'work' out of the Canukian yet. They keep their word well.
Dan stumbled across this video very interesting and informative. I have to say I really like you're attitude! " Yes the gold the did not pay for the gas , time, and the process, but we get to hang out with a friend and learn" ( paraphrasing ) You just earned a new subscriber!
Great too see you two hanging out. Really enjoying seeing your contents on utube
Dan, This was a fantastic educational video!!! Keep up the good work and I hope you find a great mine.
Lets go Dan im super glad to see you're making it doing what you love i remember when you only had 3.2k subs! KEEP IT UP DAN!

Enjoyed your comment about crossing the border. An old military friend worked the border between WA and BC after retiring from the military. Might very well have been one the points you use.
I have watched many of your videos and decided to subscribe. I need to get out there! My daughter loves hunting for precious stones, metals and fossils. All stones are special to her even the most ordinary.
I really love to see your video's, when i was a kid i had a book with minerals and i also liked walking in the mountains with my parents on vacation, and looking for shiny stones in rivers. Now I'm just in some projects that have gold mines or trade in gold. I hope to have some gold one day with me to😂 keep up the good work💪
I gotta say, I found your and Jason's videos super interesting and an absolute joy to watch. Thanks a million for taking us along on your thrilling and action-packed adventures. You guys rock! 🙌🎥✨
Jason is such a cool bloke. I would enjoy having a few beers with him I reckon. Nice video Dan, thanks for sharing!

I enjoyed watching you two working together I have learned so much thank you. Question if you Don't mind ? First I'm 67 years old and retired. I'm visiting my wife's people here in Washington State. I will be here until winter and it get cold. I'm wanting to go panning for gold here in the Washington State Area. I have gotten a permit to check out in all state parks in Washington. Can you advise me on what panning dishes or filters that I would need ? I have been watching your video's for sometime now. I will be in this area for 3 months or so. Just don't want to spend 3 months and find nothing. Its like a little beats nothing lol. I will be checking out Jason's video's as well thanks for letting me enjoy your video's . Jeff Steele
Great collaboration guys!! Keep them coming...the best of the best!

Best coöp with Jason, I like the processing parts of your video's!
Great to see you working together, makes for an extra special vlog. Good luck on your search for a more promising mine. Happy hunting and all the best to you both.
The real gold was the friends we made along the way.
You two and the quality time you guys spend worth the gold you looking for!
~$15 worth in that bead. . . . . . a lot less than minimum wage - the miner's curse hahaha. Love the videos man. Keep em coming.
iI love your Videos with Jason! It`s always a lot of fun and very informative! Greatings from the land with poor gold resources...germany 😔
Love all the chemistry.
Very informative, thanks Dan! 👍🏼

Really edjamacational. Love both of you and your banter. 👏😁🇦🇺
It's crazy to learn that the stuff I played in as a kid had gold in it. I'm about to go hunting because it's just in the woods.
Wow that ore looked so good for such a small amount of gold. Great educational and all around great video guy's. ❤😊
Love the Colours and liquid metals when poured into the Cone mould
Ive never been impressed with all these exalted finds. I sit around, doing my thing, i assess what spare cash i can use to increase my gold weight, then the pure finished product finds its way through my letter box. Very little energy is required, no noise, and no biting insects.
Great vid, from Dan and Jason, always a bit of fun, but also informative, not that i can go gold prospecting in Sussex UK
This guy has such a huge personality, U earned my sub brother
this video is great i find it pretty funny that dan is saying "nom nom" to the sound of the rock crusher like a mad man its funny
Love the content. Just Subbed, today. Don't know I'm just finding this. I'll be stuck on this for a bit back-watching some stuff.
nice gold thank you for sharing the adventure and information.
Good job Dan!
I was really excited to see this pop up when I saw you chiseling all that ore out. I was really eager when there wasn't a followup.
I love you videos i use to look for gold i cant do any more right now but im hoping to again i had a stroke in march it will take some time and hard work, but until then i watch your videos

Excellent colab outstanding video awesome content thank you for sharing this six stars my friends
We owned an old mill property in Pa and they used to have a giant smelt going in the late 1800s and what they used to do as just keep throwing the rock into the smelt and this Babbitt material would overflow and in the end they would have all the gold and precious metals in the bottom of the smelt is what the old lady told us when I was just a kid … the more I watch the less I believe that lol but we would find all this Babbitt material that looked just like placer nuggets but they were mostly led and aluminum etc . The rock has 19% gold when my old man sent it out to be tested .
Thanks for the smelt!
You two are a good team.
The "don't work" issue -- pretty sure lifting a bucket is alright as you are not getting paid to do it and you are not taking the place of a paid employee by "volunteering". They want to make sure you are not take someone's paid position. I had a Canadian work visa a few years back. It was very strick on what I could and could not do.

The guy at the border was very harsh. He was not going to let me in because I looked like I might work. He said I could film, but not lift a finger otherwise. Very harsh.

@@Danhurd our border patrol or law enforcement in general are not highly regarded as being the legal scholars they often presuppose they are. Op here is correct though, while visiting you are not allowed to perform any labour that might earn income from the United States. If some really wanted to split the atoms of the hairs, they could say that filming and taking the footage back has earned you income from the US, but then every tourist since personal photography had been widely used is subject to the same constraints, but no one in their right mind would read the laws that way, so it's widely interpreted as not being compensated by some form of domestic employment. You could help your nephew build a house if you wanted, as long as you aren't being paid to do so.
Thanks the great video, love the filming!
Thanks, guys. Good fun.
