The less time you perfect your efforts the more time you putting in more effort, find the balance that makes you happy. Y'all are out there doing what yall love, making content, fans, and a living in part or in total doing what you love. @@KGBgringo It's true. Dan says that all the time. Just start watching all of his videos with "Pickerton" in them. That is one of his main claims on the Fraser, which produces gold that is big enough to "pick up." Hence the name...

Foraging mushrooms is a great way to make money and enjoy the outdoors. 60 lbs of chanterelles in a few hours at a couple big patches, $20 per pound to restaurants. Or $8 per pound to commercial buyers.

A quick Hat Hack for you all. I don't know about Dans floppy hat, but with the big straw sun hats that you normally see, if you put the "Chin." strap Behind your head and really cinch it up under the back of your skull, it will stay on Way better in wind from the front, back or sides. I figured that one out for myself while building my parents a house down here in California.

Loved the 4-day road trip. Whether it was little gold or tons of gold, it was a fun trip for those of us along for the ride.

Great seeing you two together. Nice gold collection. I saw a fair amount of garnet too. Did you get the big serpentine rock?

My little test in a mountain stream in north NJ in April found a couple hard rock gold crystals, which had clearly just worn out of the rocks. But the water was just too cold to pan much! At least I know the rocks up there do have at least some specks in them!

Have you ever tried to dam the river? Take a boulder pit in in the water first ones is easy next takes three rocks to meet the surface then 6 for the third row out then 11 for the fourth row. Now you might have reached some current. 22 might make the 5th row but another 8 might slip out downstream or deeper in the river..... Well work on the 6th row till lunch....

I'm not sure if I have ever seen Dan use a hand pump to get gold. I guess it's because he is mostly on the edge of rivers/creeks, rather than in them. He has a handful of videos where he is sniping.
