Great video Gavin. I couldn't find Berger's during Covid, so went to SMK 107's in my 6mm BRA and have never looked back. Very consistent as you mentioned and I'm running them slower for PRS (~2790 fps) with impacts on 1 MOA targets at 1,000 yds. The big plus is that they are cheaper and more available than Berger's.

@@balazra yes I am aware. I use a lot of the extreme series and some of their shotgun powders that ADI makes. They are absolutely some of my favorite powders. Some are harder to get her in my area (Ohio Valley USA) than others. Varget, H4350, Benchmark, H322, H4831 and 50BMG has been readily Available in my area for a good while now. 8208 and Clays has been hit and miss. H4895, Retumbo, H1000, International, Universal, H4198 have been hard to come by in my area lately. Every area is different it seems.

I had this idea for a lightweight budget bolt hunting rifle in 6 ARC . I think it would be a good build video for the channel. 6.5 Grendal Howa mini action(6ARC if available, I think it was releasing in USA) 18" Carbon fiber barrel (Proof Research has an 18" sendoro light that is the same weight as their 16" sendoro) MDT LSS chassis Keep the HACT trigger and just add reduced weight trigger spring. True up action Flute the bolt and get it running smooth in action using lapping agent then nitride coat bolt and action. No muzzle device. Yeah brakes look cool and help with recoil for larger calibers but not needed with 6ARC and just add weight and noise. Plus not everyone has access to suppressors. I think showing the conversion from Grendal to ARC would be interesting even though its just chambering the new barrel. But truing the action and fluting the bolt all part of gunsmithing and machining so plenty of interesting bits to show. Also I dont think Ive seen you do nitride coating, or atleast send off to get it done. I know you like the Bat actions and most of them are nitride coated. And I know you love MDT chassis's. If my memory serves me you did do a build on the HNT carbon chassis but they're expensive.

These seem to be the go to for the PRS crew I shoot with when we can't get Berger 105 hybrids. I haven't tried them but those that have seem to like them. I'm playing with 6 ARC hornady 105 bthp and N540 with CCI 400 primers. I run gas gun so anything under .875" I'm pretty happy. lol Oh, the ultradyne Apollo Max, that brake is insane! Tried it on my gas gun just for fun and wow! That rifle hardly moved! Had to laugh though, the brake was causing my ground tarp to lift off the ground when I fired. (It's a military rubberized "tarp" so it's not exactly light like a walmart tarp.) I'll be putting the EC tuner/brake back on but the ultradyne is going on my Dasher when that gets built later this month/early next month.
