Friend's dad died about 1994. We were 20 year olds. He had a Scout in the barn. We got it running but the carb was messed up. Needed some linkages or something if I remember. Friend said there was another International in the forest by his house. It was on it's side in the middle of the trees. Took the carb off and used the parts to get the Scout running right. Hope that thing is still out there.

Right off the bat, I can see someone going the full frame off restoration on this vehicle. To rare, and the lines are pure U.S. retro classic 4WD. Any wheeler wishes he could pull up in this model ( like a vintage retro-mod Bronco), this model is more rare and much bigger attention getter. I LIKE HER!

An alternator gauge should be showing charge,..needle should be to the right. To the left is most likely, a bad or weak alternator,...or something with the charge system

Darren Fincher pretty sure its completely missing... no idea how this thing goes in and out of 4WD... I’ve looked at a bunch of these and they all have a manual shift transfer case to the right of the transmission shifter

Bet those vent windows would really help !!! Huh ?

Google the numbers on the back of the black of the motor

Those window rubber seals like to melt on the non safety glass razorblade at the base outside will free it

Just a suggestion..but with jeep gladiator and upcoming ford bronco...I'd put $30,000 on it after fixing the horn

Unlike todays plastic trucks, it looks good to have a hood in front when driving..miss that.

Horns gotta be broke on this one. International used alot of AMC parts. Ugh

Scout IIs used Saginaw steering columns like GM and AMC rigs, and they put AMC sixes in Scouts and 401s in some full size pickups and Travelalls, but that’s about it.

Basically a military vehicle. Super durable go anywhere. Like a jeep but tougher.

Not as good looking as a pickup
