MY goodness, thank you so much, went and got the new resister last night, found the right wrench, flash light etc. down to the under ground parking, did exactly what you said and within minutes I had it done ,one broken thumb nail !!! Cost me $22, a wee bit stiff,do not bend so well anymore. I am an 80 year old Grandma. Once again thank you, God Bless.

I pulled down the glove box and hit the blower motor shazam it worked just fine. I had already replaced the resistor and the control panel It happened to be minus 32 here in Calgary Canada and the blower motor kicked in halaluia brother sometimes miracles do happen. Yeah if your having problems with motor. Just give it a wack with a pair of channel locks.

The resistor pack can get very hot, hot enough to melt the plastic on the electrical connectors, leaving you with burnt plastic on the copper contacts inside the connector. The layer of carbon left over from the burnt plastic provides even more resistance, and thus heat, to the connector. I went through three resistor packs in a year before I figured this out. The best way I found to get the connector back to bare copper is to use the small nail file from a nail clipper. Insert and remove the file a couple of times, turn it around and do it again, and you should be good. Also, spend the extra $2 and get the resistor pack with the lifetime warranty, and keep the receipt right in the glove box.

@@MrDepodot7 I cannot disagree, if you can get a pig-tailed connector to replace it with, because the original can get pretty melted.

Very informative. After watching this I called my local Autozone, confirmed that they had the part, picked it it up and spent all of five minutes replacing it, using the 8mm socket driver that Eric indicated. All for $13.99! Oh yes, it's going to snow tomorrow! Thank you so much!

My fan runs either High or Low. I learned how to use my test light probe that has been sitting in my tool box for 40 years and how the blower circuit works. I see right where the resistor pack is located before I start accessing and troubleshooting. You save me a lot of time and aggravation. Thanks!

My blower just quit running. Wasn't sure if it was a switch, resistor or fan motor. Took a chance as this video made it easy to replace and was a cheap part at AA in stock. Took longer to pay for the part than to install! Thanks for the helpful video! Cost me $17 plus gas to repair.

My heater kept knocking off and on but my car was way to new for the heater to be burnt out so I checked the pollen filter and surely enough it was completely clogged up and black I changed it and no problems at all! So easy to over look the basics thank god I didn't pay 100 for a new motor for the same thing to happen a few months down the line

Yet another one of your videos that helped me quickly diagnose a problem with my 2007 Town and Country minivan. This time the front fan blower stopped working, so based on watching your tutorial, I was able to prove the front fan blower relay and fuse were good. Plus the fan motor worked fine, and the fan speed switch worked fine. Replacing the fan speed resistor cured the problem. Thank you for posting these great videos!
