I have a 2007 ford expedition I have had everything replaced for the ac..the condenser, the lines , blend doors, the actuator , compressor , ECT..all relays and fuses are working. The system is charged no leaks detected Ac works fine for months then goes back to hot air then works again for a while then stops this is a dual ac system makes no sense what could cause it to work fine then stop .. what could the issues be?????

Took about 20 minites to swap out my 08 tahoe and now the air blows freely again....just before the ice and snow that is coming tomorrow! Thank you!

Great video. Love these walk-throughs. Just wanna point out that if a persons suspects a bad resistor pack out of the gate, testing for resistance on all of the resistor points should allow you to make that determination instead of using deduction to come to a reasonable conclusion about what is wrong.

Thanks for this! Helped me to understand the system and check everything. My fan was making noise for a day, then it stopped turning which caused the resistor to smoke. I watched the video, pulled the motor and found it was binding. Replaced it. Pulled the resistor, and smelled it! Yes, it smelled like burnt plastic, which was same smell when the system smoked. Replaced resistor, checked all fuses. Replaced both for less than 100$. Thanks for the video! 🙏🏼

This turned the little light bulb on! My resistor blew out, with my original blower motor(really old). I replaced the resistor, it worked fine for a few days. Suddenly the blower didn’t work either. Put in new blower motor, still didn’t work. But now I think I blew out the new resistor on the old blower motor. So now i’m hoping that with my new blower motor, that a new resistor should not longer be “cooking” from the old blower motor! As the video sats, replacing both would be best. Thanks for the great video!

Check your cabin filter aswell! The low pressure created by the blower motor from a clogged cabin filter can put excess strain on the blower, resistor and circuit.

Man nice video appreciate it bud, my '11 Subaru STI just made a pffst sound with a/c on and done zero air flow at all, ac clutch spins well fuses are good haven't checked relays yet and it's been blowing cold consistently so best guess I can think of is blower motor and/or resistor. I'm semi mechanically inclined at best lol so I'm just trying to do as much due diligence as I can before taking it to a shop. Gkkd video bud appreciate any advise anyone wants to impart on a cat lol.

Thank you very much, the information you provided is awesome! I've looked at a lot of the videos, but I need help with something else. 2004 Tahoe w/rear HVAC. The rear temp blend actuator swaps from hot to cold continuously. None of my mechanic friends could figure it out. I've swapped the to actuators (same parts number) and replaced the rear control module twice. I live in south Georgia, so several years ago I manually (snapped the motor cover off and moved it) set it to cold and unplugged it. Btw, I'm a parts guy for over 30 years. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks again.

Great video and trouble shooting steps. Allowed me to figure out my problem with my blower motor problem. However, going through these trouble shooting steps brought me to the only issue NOT mentioned in this great video, the BLOWER MOTOR RELAY! Can't believe there was no mention of that possible issue. But since the fuses were good but had no power at the blower motor resistor, next possible issue is the relay. But keep up the great videos!

At minute 3.18, he verified the power, coming from the relay, so it is not necessary to check the relay, if there was no power, yes, he would have to first verify the continuity of the line and the efficiency of the relay, in my opinion the youtuber did the right job.
