Test: 3D printed No. 247 All-Ways fuze

Ғылым және технология

Couldn't find any videos on the original fuze being used, so I decided rather than risk destroying my originals, I would 3D Print a simplified fuze, and machine the inner parts. Although a simple video, these are my favorite kind, showing something that hasn't been used since WW2 being Tested on camera. Although not an exact replica this is how the fuze actually worked.

Great job, your videos fascinate the 10 year old pre-Internet, semi-pyromaniac in me! Gesundheit

Very cool. I've been think about getting a 3d printer to try out a bunch of mechanisms I've thought of over the years. It's amazing that fabrication is so easy now. Great video!

Glad you liked it. Yeah they are great for doing a lot of odd things. My bottle neck is my skills with the software. Only sacrifice with the printers for the time being is the amount of time it takes to make things with it.

@@Stray03 I'm sure I'll have the same limitations with the software. Probably should have got more into computer before my 40s, lol.

Glad you liked it. I enjoy testing out old devices that no one gets to see because there are no easy to find videos on them. Sort of build up a database for people.

@@Stray03 you definitely are extremely helpful and very fun to watch. Thanks for staying committed Also on a side note, have you ever thought about posting videos of you playing Enlisted or Post Scriptum?

I just play post scriptum, If I were to Make videos on it it would have to be on another channel as to not make this one more random than it already is. Also my playing style is boring, When I can I get the Sapper/pioneer kits and go on a "behind the main battle sabotage run" on Logistics emplacements. That or tank hunting which both involve a lot of walking and sneaking around and very little shooting.

@@Stray03 That is ironically my favorite part of watching people play. I've always wondered why more people didn't play like that. If I ever get a computer I'd definitely play like that. Just something to think about I guess, but I would definitely be one to watch it.

next time I play I'll try to remember to record it, i'll leave it unlisted with just a link to anyone who wants to see it. For that kind of gameplay you need a good squad because you won't be helping them much right away, but if you get the timing right you end up causing the next points to be much easier to take over. Destroying bunkers, destroying supplies and opening doorways with the right timing for your team to come in is tough to get right but sure ruins a nice plan for the enemy. As I said though alot of people think kill count is important, and I'll let guys walk by me so that I don't get in a fire fight with people. A lot of players seem to think they have to shoot any guy walking around, which actually ruins the sniper role in the game sadly (as a side note). Unfortunately the game devs also don't know much about the none firearms weapons so they don't really work like they should which drives me crazy sometimes.

So glad i found this channel, awesome content. Care to share any of your designs ? I have a 3d printer and am very much interested in trying to make working model reproductions of these old mechanisms.

Unfortunately I make them as one offs to show people how the fuzes work. This means that they are useful to see how they work but would not stand up to the abuse of actual launches or constant manipulation.

So, are you scared of someone hearing you while you talk about this stuff? Are you sitting in a public library? (The computer screen recordings of images look like they're from an old mac from 1990 being forced to run windows 3.1)
