That assumes multiple things. 1st the battery is the same energy density as a model S, which isn't true. The bigger the battery the better the energy density because most parts used for the battery stay the same weight... basically only the cells are bigger. 2. It assumes that there's an engine in the Truck... which makes no sense. Realistically it is around a 2k pound deficit probably less (Btw this includes the extra 2k pounds allowed for full ev trucks). Tesla claimed the same as a petrol truck with the added 2k pounds so probably less or maybe they choose a heavy truck to compare idk.

As for charging that is on Tesla and the cost of that will be much lower then you think. Tesla's got experience with making chargers... since they have the biggest charging network lol.

Like concrete Mixers, heavy dumps etc. The Tesla is a light duty dry freight truck for hauling potato chips and boxes of tampons

How about use trailer’s underdeck space for battery? It can extand range. It also helpful for cold chain trailers. Underdeck battery swap system can be evolution for longhaul trucking industry.

With 1000 HP it is totally in the 5 second range. Faster then a base model 3 which is already a very quick car compared to the average car.

0:58 Well you are wrong mister. There are TWO giant blindspots on this semi because the seat is in the center. When backing the trailer into a loading bay, unlike traditional trucks, that have one blind side, the passenger side, Tesla Semi got two. Both driver and passenger. If you carry the same trailer all the time, then there is no problem because a rear camera on the trailer will fix it. But most truckers don't hitch onto only one trailer.....as much as I applaud the Tesla Semi, I got to say this. Regarding seating position, Tesla is trying to solve av problem that is not really a problem for truck drivers. Traditional seating position is still a winner in every hauler truck in my book.
