Tesla’s Optimus Gen 2 is Faster, Lighter and Can Even Dance

Ғылым және технология

Tesla has recently unveiled the Optimus Gen 2, a significant upgrade from its predecessor, marked by enhanced speed, lighter weight, and more human-like movements. This new generation robot shows potential to not only rival other robots but also possibly become a central part of Tesla's workforce.
The Optimus Gen 2 boasts a 30% increase in walking speed compared to the previous model, reflecting substantial progress in its practical utility. Tesla has also optimized its design, reducing the robot's weight by 22 pounds and improving its balance, crucial for real-world applications.
A key innovation in the Optimus Gen 2 is its advanced hands, designed for both strength and precision. They can lift heavy objects and handle delicate tasks, like holding an egg, making the robot versatile in various functions.
Tesla plans to test the robot in its manufacturing operations to evaluate its real-world capabilities. Following successful implementation, the company aims to commercialize the robot for broader uses. Elon Musk, Tesla's CEO, foresees a significant market demand for the Optimus, potentially reaching billions of units, and believes it could greatly contribute to Tesla's long-term value.
Overall, the Tesla Optimus Gen 2 represents a notable leap forward in humanoid robotics, poised to move from concept to practical application with its improved features and Tesla's ambitious integration and commercialization plans.

Because this is the easiest shape to take over work from humans. All human tools are designed for the human form so rather than making a robot in any other form why not make something that can instantly become a butler, mow the lawn, clean the house, drive the car etc.

The idea is to have a robot that can do anything a human could do, e.g., drive a car, climb a ladder, climb stairs, ride a bike, cook a meal in a kitchen and clean up afterward, make a bed, clean a toilet, assemble an electric motor, carry packages from a truck, unpack them, and place them in various cabinets, drawers, and shelves - i.e., be a generalized human replacement. R2 couldn't do those things because it lacks human morphology.

If Atlas is a toy, then Optimus is just scrap heap. Optimus is a decade behind, e.g., Honda and Boston, so I wouldn't wait for Tesla robots to come to mass production in the near future (they would still cost a shit ton). Why would anyone use humanoid robots on a construction site or in warehouses when there are better robotic and automation solutions? Boston's robodog is already useful in construction work (inspection, laser scanning, accessing hazardous sites, etc.), safety and response, logistics, and warehousing (they also cost a shit ton but are very agile and reliable). How do you define 'useful'? Surely, a humanoid robot can be useful in many tasks, but first, it needs to have excellent agility, natural movement, and better sensory capabilities - areas where real robotics companies have already made breakthroughs, unlike Tesla.

Lol robots have been used in manufacturing for decades. It just so happens that people are not designed to work assembly lines, so we can design robots that aren't shaped like people to do things people can't. I guess it's time we come full-circle and design a robot that has the same physical shortcomings thst humans do that cause us to be unable to do manufacturing jobs, and then use those robots for manufacturing jobs. \•/ I believe we are meant to be like Jesus in our hearts and not in our flesh. But be careful of AI, for it is just our flesh and that is it. It knows only things of the flesh (our fleshly desires) and cannot comprehend things of the spirit such as peace of heart (which comes from obeying God's Word). Whereas we are a spirit and we have a soul but live in the body (in the flesh). When you go to bed it is your flesh that sleeps but your spirit never sleeps (otherwise you have died physically) that is why you have dreams. More so, true love that endures and last is a thing of the heart (when I say 'heart', I mean 'spirit'). But fake love, pretentious love, love with expectations, love for classic reasons, love for material reasons and love for selfish reasons that is a thing of our flesh. In the beginning God said let us make man in our own image, according to our likeness. Take note, God is Spirit and God is Love. As Love He is the source of it. We also know that God is Omnipotent, for He creates out of nothing and He has no beginning and has no end. That means, our love is but a shadow of God's Love. True love looks around to see who is in need of your help, your smile, your possessions, your money, your strength, your quality time. Love forgives and forgets. Love wants for others what it wants for itself. Take note, true love works in conjunction with other spiritual forces such as patience and faith (in the finished work of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, rather than in what man has done such as science, technology and organizations which won't last forever). To avoid sin and error which leads to the death of our body and also our spirit in hell fire, we should let the Word of God be the standard of our lives not AI. If not, God will let us face AI on our own and it will cast the truth down to the ground, it will be the cause of so much destruction like never seen before, it will deceive many and take many captive in order to enslave them into worshipping it and abiding in lawlessness. We can only destroy ourselves but with God all things are possible. God knows us better because He is our Creater and He knows our beginning and our end. Our prove text is taken from the book of John 5:31-44, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12, Daniel 2, Daniel 7-9, Revelation 13-15, Matthew 24-25 and Luke 21. Let us watch and pray... God bless you as you share this message to others.
