Thank you for doing this. I have been trying to learn as much as I can about EV conversion, specifically Tesla swapping. I have been scouring KZread for months trying to get as much information as possible. I probably won't have the funds to do a conversion for a few more years but it's very interesting and I don't understand why more people aren't doing it. The Tesla CAN bus stuff was the largest hurdle in my mind. I didn't know Damien Maguire made his own controller for the motor, or even where it was to replace it. I've subscribed to him a few weeks ago but haven't made it through all his videos yet. Please show as much CAN bus stuff as you can when you're setting that up. I think the hardest thing to find after that is the wiring schematics. When you get it all done it would be amazing if you could go over how everything is plugged into each other. Great video.

Roadstercycle, you commented on my thread on diyelectriccar. Nice video. Great insights. I will definitely look into this further on my build

I agree but I just don't know about making videos really long and possibly boring. What kind of views are you talking about so when I do the next one with the positrac I can be thinking about it.

@@Roadstercycle Not at all what i meant quite in fact the opposite, i meant it should have way more views that the 50 something it has, i know its a fresh video but its a really interesting swap. Not many people these days are doing it (im sure some are which is why i said not many, then again maybe not). Keep up the great work, i ordered a kit for a FH020AA from your website thank you for the wonderful videos and tutorials.

Great job, lots of info. Did you make the adjustable bar for the toe and camber yourself? or where can I buy them? Do you have a link to the board you are talking about?

They are not plug and play, You have to make new sleeves and washers to fit the Model S suspension.

@@DannyParks Danny, There is issues and engineering every step of the way. The coil overs where a nightmare on my street. The next time I do a Model S setup I'll probably go with a push rod setup. I may have to do that with the Model 3 Mustang but we will see.

What type of vehicle would the rear set up been for? The mustang has a separate spring and shock. The coilovers you installed are an all in one setup similar to the front

@@teslapoweredelectricfoxbod6696 I had to measure and figure it all out. You can buy QA1 shocks in a lot of lengths and also can buy many spring rates. I did not but coil overs that where for a specific car. I designed them for mine.

I don't know if it's worth doing an EV swap on a mustang the value must go down.???

There's no easy answer to that question. Usually when you do an EV swap it's for your enjoyment and experience not really for resale. If you are hired to build an EV then there is profit and the person who hired you to build it is not looking at resale, he or she is looking at enjoyment of a car they chose.
