SUCH A SWEET RIDE

when applied correctly, plasti dip can last up to 2+ years. it does NOT damage paint. if you wait 2-3 weeks after applying, you can take it through a car wash, hit it with a pressure washer, etc.. and nothing will happen. it's very water proof. I've had my cars emblems, window trim, door handles, and rims dipped for a little under a year now and I haven't had to pay much attention to it at all

Do you need to disable the auto fold mirrors feature permanently ? The chrome part around the mirrors seems to be the hardest bit to decide what to do. You really need to dissemble the whole mirror if you wanted to coat the whole piece completely, but then what happens when the mirrors auto fold, do they rub and peel the dip?

so if you wanted to use glossifier does the tape still peel nicely if you let the dip dry then pull when the glossifier final coat is still wet?

What I would really like to see, is a translucent black plasti dip, so you could spray it over chrome turn it into black chrome, also another good one would be clear plasti dip so you could spay your car for a track day and still keep it looking good

A question for you @Fonzie: Not sure how it is on the Tesla but window trim on Audies goes down the side and ends below the edge of the door - when you open the dore trim is behind the rubber seal. I have dipped window trims fewyears ago on my A6 on clesed doors and all looked fine. PD peeld off nicley ewerywher but after a couple of weeks it started peeling from down below where the door rubber touches the trim... Should I dip the trims on open doors or do you have a other hack for this?

yes you can use only orange. 3 cans of koi orange and you can do all 4 wheels with full coverage.

I tried doing this on the trim of my Stinger and I struggled because there is weather stripping above and below the trim. I couldn't get it to peel right since there wasn't enough of a gap. Would you suggest I try and tape back the stripping on the top and bottom all the way across before spraying?
