awesome painting skills. (you cannot stop in the middle of the glass only behind the edges, then there will be no dark places in the middle. This rule works with every spray application)

I love Plastidip, my old wheels were dipped black for a couple of years - so easy to do, cheap and pretty durable too. And easy to touch up or remove when you're done.

It actually looks good from the outside. I think you could have gotten an even better result by making complete strokes all the way across the window on every application. Stopping in the middle cause a very thick layer of product to be applied. I don't know if this technique would make it look better from the inside, but it worth a try. Good job overall. This is my first time watching your channel, I will be back for sure. Have a great week.

Plasti dip has to be sprayed in smooth overlapping passes, like 50/50 ratio. And after the first coat it needs to be sprayed heavy enough to have a wet appearance but not be running obviously. If you do not do this for the first 4-5 coats it will never hold up. This is typically the main reason people do not have good results with plasti dip. I know you where going for a certain effect (appearance) but your first 4 or 5 coats should have been applied correctly and then apply your crazy texture. If the base coats aren't correct then it'll never last or work out. Honestly, I was sitting here waiting for you to remove your tape and watch you ruin your plast dip but then you broke out the knife so that tells me you must know something about plasti dip because dry plasti dip thats bridged over a gap will usually tear off into your dip job. Also telling people that one can is enough? Again, if done correctly then no. 1 can per window. Same for wheels, 1 can per wheel. If this doesn't hold up or work out very well you should do it again but spray it right and try to do it in a garage or somewhere out of the wind. I haven't ever considered using plasti dip on glass myself and ive done several sets of wheels so I am not new to the product. My latest was my truck, 5 coats of black base per wheel then I did 3 coats of a graphite metallizer to give it a dark grey metallic look. Purchased the kit from dipyourcar came with the 4 cans of black, 1 per wheel, 3 cans of the metallizer, brake masking bags for all the wheels, dip coat for your tires so the dip comes off your tires and pre dip cleaner to clean the wheels with and a microfiber. Nice kit.

When I said I hadn't ever considered spraying glass I also meant to include that it was an interesting idea. If done correctly i'd like to see how it works out because it has given me an idea. Also, lol, I hadn't finished the video when I said all that. At the very end you talk about how it looks bad from the inside, but thats due to how you sprayed it which can be solved by spraying it in the correct manner from the beginning. Not trying to be an arsehole just saying the truth.

honestly wouldnt do it even though it looks good. It obstructs your visibility by a huge amount. Just get a regular black foil which decreases light shining through but still makes it able to look through it as the driver. Every Forester is ridiculously good in visibility, this is just removing that ability, dont cripple yourself.

I agree, SF forester are very good in visibility, the amount of windows on this car is amazing! But the fact is my visibility through those back windows is already compromised with my fridge and my interior storage setup... So I don't loose anything covering them with plasti dip, it just give my Forester a nice clean look from the outside 😉

@@ALNSMOVERLAND Ah sure I forgot about that. But what when youre commuting? I have my SHS Forester equiped so far to be 100% under the window line, the backwindows are just massive and useful. Same window you sprayed I have a OEM Net to decrease sunlight, but might remove it and tint the whole back just a bit. Was driving a BMW 2 model 2018 once, holy crap other cars have terrible visibility.

Wow that's some bad spraying there, i mean like seriously terrible.... It is very important to spray property and prepare can of aerosol first as that makes huge difference in finish... Sorry bro but it looked like little kid first time holding spray can 😂you should mention in your video that this is not how you spray

There are several videos on KZread on how to apply plasti dip. You definitely need to research things before doing it or how to do it.

Not a huge fan of plastidip. It doesnt last long, always chips off, and doesnt hold up to road abuse. And the fact that it never peels off like its marketed to do makes it that much worse.

Why would you use a knife gonna scratch your shit 😂🤣 your supposed to do a light coat then like 2-4 medium coats every 5 minutes then pull tape before it dries so it doesnt peel when it hardens.
