Same as a stealth 3 so 11.3-11.4 @116-118 depending on wheel and tire pack and any weight reduction you may do. one has broken 11.2

How much is the Ghost Modular update?

Can you tell me if there is a range decrease? I got the long range so I could have max range, but I feel that if the capability is there, I want the max too. If I get the ghost upgrade, does it impact the range during normal driving? Or if it’s only in Standard acceleration mode? Will it be normal 360 miles long range if I’m in Chill mode with the ghost upgrade? That’d be awesome if I could switch between Chill and Normal and have the max range or max power. Also how does it impact manufacture’s warranty?

On the questions of Tesla detecting or blocking Ingenext products: Ingenext has committed to their customers that they will make any necessary changes to ensure their products continue to work. There has been only one attempt by Tesla to detect these. Even then Tesla didn't disable the product - there was just a notice on the screen. The car continued to operate as before. Ingenext shipped updates to customers within a week with a fix. As for warranty: Any modification to your car you are taking a risk of voiding the warranty. Consumers are always modifying their cars with bolt on changes, better fuel intakes, exhausts, tires, brake upgrades, suspension changes. All of these are no different than what has been done here. It is your car and you have the right to modify it if you so desire. However in the event there is a question on warranty Tesla would have to prove that the modification was to blame for any damages. This applies to any changes - aftermarket trailer hitches, power lift gates, body and suspension changes, or things like this. This information is direct from Tesla.

The Problem is that Tesla is datalogging your car like most carbrands today. Which means the can watch for example the Ampere which have been drawn from the battery and it will be clear that there has been a modification.

Wow. 150hp and having better torque behavior? Hope these kinds of upgrades are the standard in EVs. Gas cars can only dream of these gains.

Gas and hybrid cars has been doing this for decades, usually with ECU upgrades in the turbos headers exhaust intake etc. And of course adding turbo supercharger larger batteries. Everything from base civic, civic si to Acura NSX hybrid.

​@@SAT1337try the mod getting better range than the bmw and the new good looking Prius 700 mile range... Supposedly Toyota is working in a gr faster Prius model .but you could just add a turbo or supercharger.

I think what they have done is amazing, I’m just not sure how many people will take the leap without any pro rating of the cost if it becomes defeated. Imagine if Tesla nukes the system within a few weeks? Then again, maybe this will last a year... I’d love to see them offer a partial refund if it’s defeated within a certain amount of time.

Noted you must also have the 980 rear motor in order to get the Ghost Upgrade. There was a very short period of time when Tesla installed these on dual motor cars.

It will not work with a 2021 Long Range, those have the 990 motors. Only 2018 Dual Motor, some early 2019 Dual Motors, and all Performances have the 980 motors.

imagine chipmakers in the next few years go a DLC route like Tesla, where you buy a chip from them that's been locked with "proprietary software" to a certain speed that you would then have to pay extra just to unlock more speed f'ing software/tech industry nowadays are greedy AF, either releasing half-assed games that will purposefully have DLC in the future or just selling you purposefully speed capped hardware and having you pay more for a software speed unlock

The performance model has a track mode, which gives you some functionality to adjust the power delivery. Does ghost give you that ability besides giving you drift mode? Also, has Tesla discovered this device on your car and locked it down?

No, it doesn’t have a full featured Track Mode like the Performance 3 has. Tesla has not discovered the device and it is still working. Thanks.

Can you use it if you already have a acceleration boost?

I am deciding the ghost for my lr, Hong kong has no official acceleration boost😢,i wonder after i got the ghost updated,if i can still update the official acceleration boost tostack up the horse power?

I am interested in this upgrade. Anyone have experience with the customer service? Can I still upload the “new” updates? If and when Tesla blocks the updates do the company help by pass them once again? Additional costs?

As a customer for about a year now I can say the customer service is excellent. Yes, Tesla detected these upgrades in the past but they didn't disable them. Instead the car just showed a warning of an 'incompatible module detected'. However Ingenext was able to update these and account for Tesla's change, at no cost, along with a statement that they will continue to update if needed. Ingenext now maintains a list of Tesla software updates that are compatible on their website. If the Tesla update is on the list there is no harm to install the update immediately.

Once the company finds a way to once again unlock it how much would they charge to once again hop on the phone and provide you assistance to once again unlock it? Lastly, how much more fun is your model 3 with the module? 😂 if I order this I need better brake pads at least.

@@josecardona2229 There has only been once where Tesla discovered the modification and displayed a message. ingenext released a fix but I don't know how long it took. As soon as I contacted them they had it ready. The car is a blast. Well it was before but now it's like a new car all over again. I love all the new features plus the added performance is awesome.

@@joetripp123 How many Tesla OTA updates have you had installed since you installed the Ingenext ghost upgrade? Looks like they currently support the most recent update i have on there web page. However, when you open the Instruction manual pdf, at the very bottom it states "By purchasing the GHOST, you will receive two free updates. The other ones will cost $75." Now the question is are they referring to Tesla's OTA updates? or Just updates whenever Tesla Locks the feature and Ingenex has to go back to the drawing board to once again reprogram and re-unlock the tesla software? Reason I ask is because i have probably had 6-updates per year, maybe more. That can quickly add up, $75bucks times 6 Tesla OTA updates equals to $450 yearly subscription to Ingenext. After a while it is not worth it.

@@josecardona2229 I’ve had probably a dozen updates in the last year, all free. The previous $75 per upgrade was only on the Ghost module and only when they had to manually do the updates in the shop. The newest modules don’t need this - you can install Tesla updates like normal. I’ll let Ingenext know they need to update their documentation. Tesla updates are now free - as of about mid 2020. As for ingenext updates to bypass any Tesla changes - all mine have been free and I don’t expect them to change that.

So do you have to re do this after an update

The ghost upgrade is only compatible with the early model 3 lr's with the model number 980 rear motor. It's the same rear motor used in the performance model 3. So I can't imagine there being extra wear besides on possibly the brakes. The newer model 3 lr's have a different rear motor with the model number 990 and 970 and hence are not compatible with the ghost module upgrade.

I’m still loving it. And now the Ghost is plug and play. As for warranty many things could invalidate your warranty - like installing power trunk/frunk or mountain pass performance suspension items, aftermarket brakes, tow hitches, even replacing the interior lights with better ones. Many do upgrades and not know this. But if there was a problem Tesla would have to prove this was the cause of any failures and that came right from a Tesla service tech.

If you have a newer tesla forget this tune. You can only get the Boost 50 tune which only lowers your zero to sixty to 3.9 seconds.

Tesla's official acceleration boost upgrade gives you a 3.7 0-60mph (no rollout). I have it, and yes it is a lot of fun. Worth the upgrade if you like squeezing any performance you can out of your LR. 👍

What model is your model 3? I have a 2019 long range rwd 980 motor. Will this work for me?

I don't think so. I think the M3P is still faster then any of the model 3's with the Ghost mod. Why??? Well the answer is the motors used in the M3P are different parts then the one's in the other model 3's. Have to get a M3P to get those motors. It's not just software.

Chill mode still works just fine. Buying the 50 hp boost from Tesla wouldn’t do anything. Well it would but you wouldn’t notice it unless you removed the 150hp Ghost module and compared it to stock.

This is all fine and dandy, but you might as well just spend the money and get a Performance model for the extra $2000. Plus you’ll still have higher top speed than std Dual Motor.

This only unlocks the AWD to the same as a Performance. It won’t do anything for a Performance 3.

The performance boost from Tesla adds 50hp, same as Ingenext Boost module. This adds 150hp. It’s a huge difference. You can also add this to a 3 that has purchased the 50hp boost from Tesla. It won’t make it any faster than one that hasn’t bought that 50hp boost though.

my advice would be to just buy the M3P, but if you do this please don’t upbadge lmao

There is a reason the camera person does not talk, esp if they aren't using mics on each person. The volume difference is so large its unbearable and unnecessary

@@IReahpZz ordered what I thought was a 2018 model 3 Performance from Carvana but they actually sent me a long range dual motor. They honestly don't even know the difference. I confirmed the 980 motors by snapping a photo like they show on the Ingenix website. I really wanna become a Ghost rider. Let's say you have to remove the module for a Tesla appointment. Does it immediately go back to stock? Then do you need Ingenix to do their reflash of the 980 motor to unlock the magic again or can you just install the module and it automatically picks back up in Ghost mode?

@@enterconnection no it doesn't you need to have the car reflashed to stock. I wouldn't worry I've had several appointments with the flash on no issues. 100% worth it in every way car is an animal. No issues 60k miles in.

If you are concerned you can unplug the module in just a few minutes. The car goes back to stock. Then plug it back in after and it goes back to Ghost performance. No re flash is needed.

@@TfGamess I wouldn't say this is robbing, Tesla is selling the vehicle, it's not some kinda rental or lease. The first sale doctrine allows the owner to modify their owned property as they wish. The one complication is whether this applies to the software part of the equation, since that could be based on a "software licensing" business model, unlike the rest of the car, and that puts this whole thing in a gray area, I'm not sure where one would draw the line there. Tesla should be in the right when it comes to warranty or lease terms, folks who modify their vehicles should accept forfeiting warranty coverage or getting their leases adjusted accordingly. Tesla could also exercise their software licensing terms against features that are supposed to be behind a paywall and getting bypassed, as that may kinda fall under software piracy. I think that would be a fair middle ground, but maybe Tesla's trying to be lenient on these kinda issues for PR reasons, opting instead (for now) to just play whack-a-mole with disabling some of these hacks whenever they perform their software updates.

Ok, after reading the description, this is for any 2021 model 3/Y where you are going to install just a normal non ghost module.

You should take it to the drag strip to get the 1/4 time.

We planned on doing this but didn’t. Good idea though, I’ll talk to Kyle. We did trap the 0-60 and it was the same as the performance 3 - 3.1 seconds. I would assume the 1/4 mile would match the 3P’s 1/4 mile time or maybe a tad faster, but not much. It seems to get off the line a touch faster but then the rest would be same as a P.

Technically Tesla could do the same if you installed an aftermarket trailer hitch, power trunk or frunk upgrades, 3rd party brake or suspension parts, basically anything you’ve changed. Per a Tesla service rep - if there was a problem Tesla would have to prove the failure was due to the upgrade.

Hi ! The Boost 50 is the equivalent to the Tesla acceleration boost 50HP (2000$) The Ghost gives 150HP...so much more :)

@@ingenext4964 I ordered what I thought was a 2018 model 3 Performance from Carvana but they actually sent me a long range dual motor. They honestly don't even know the difference. I confirmed the 980 motors by snapping a photo like they show on the Ingenix website. I really wanna become a Ghost rider. Let's say you have to remove the module for a Tesla appointment. Does it immediately go back to stock? Then do you need Ingenix to do their reflash of the 980 motor to unlock the magic again or can you just install the module and it automatically picks back up in Ghost mode?

Please tell me the mask is being used as a disguise.

This is not cool. You are supposed to buy that from Tesla, not from third-party. This is basically paying a robber, for these modules. Why would anyone even record video about this. This makes no sense. You guys are doing illegal stuff and saying it's alright. How can Tesla enthusiast do this to his favourite company. I know, it's great to pay less and get more, but you are paying a hacker...

That's one way to see it. On the other hand, you already got the hardware, so manipulating the software will probably void your warranty, but I don't think it's illegal. Probably as illegal as jailbreaking your phone. Also, Tesla has detected these modules through firmware-upgrades before and disabled them, so they'll probably do it with this one too.

@@therealxoleras Because it's not what you paid for. You are giving money to someone, who has nothing to do with Tesla and is basically getting through the software and hacking a car. It's basically supporting a robber.

@@TfGamess when you buy custom exhaust, to make yhour car faster, you see bmw complaining? or when you buy a chip to make your corvette a little faster, I dont see chevy losing their marbles about it, when you buy a computer, you buy parts to overclock it keep it cool, you don't see AMD or intel complaining about it, your argument isnt valid in any way shape or form, I own the car, I can do whatever I want with it, it might void the warranty, which tesla has every right to do, but it is not illegal. Do you think its legal or cool for tesla to haver all the speakers in your car and heated seats installed already but they want 100s of dollars to "enable them"

​ @XoLeRaS Because that's the way they want people to upgrade their cars. You buy a Short Range Model 3 and then, if you decide that you want heated rear seats, you can enable it. Tesla will get money and you will get your heated seats. It's their concept and the way they are getting money. But, there are these filthy companies, which put some kind of sht in your car, they are gonna get paid and Tesla will not get a single dollar. I know what you mean, about the way people tune their ICE cars, but that is alright, because those cars have no capabilites like this. I don't know, this is just my opinion.

Do you even know what boosting is? It is impossible to boost in this electric vehicle since 1. It does not come equipped with a turbo nor a petrol engine.
