Tesla FSD 12.3.6 - Wrong Turn Lane Test #4

Ғылым және технология

In this video I revisit an area the FSD 12 series has had an ongoing issue with, for the 4th time.
In this particular intersection, FSD consistently fails to get in the correct lane for a left turn. Is this FINALLY fixed in FSD 12.3.6? Lets find out

I'm assuming that since the left turn lane has a weird diagonal solid line going into it, the car thinks it's some kind of lane it can't turn into because its a solid line so it doesn't do it. Just my two cents. Not sure. Hopefully its fixed soon!

Good test and comparison. Funny it's scared by the white line :)

My FSD did same mistake. FSD doesn’t know which land is correct.

What does your navigation lane guidance say? I noticed for mine it thinks there are only 3 lanes total instead of 4. The navigation lane data says to be in the two most left lanes to turn left. So I believe the car thinks since there are only 3 lanes it gets confused and picks the wrong lane.

@@BigBen621 because I think, this is a edge case, with a very high difficulty, which can’t be solved that easy, just with video data. The problem it self lies in the understanding of the lanes. If you are in the wrong lane, you would not take the left turn. The car does not understand it

He should really be disengaging/reporting at that point else the training data for that area may not be aware the car is making a mistake and potentially keep making the mistake in future versions. Disengagements flag that part of the drive which is feedback into the training loop. This should really be an easy fix at this point

Junk! Never ever will I own or use a FSP crap box or get into one when when someone else is in the driver seat.

I don't know if it just was the sound in the tesla but there was a massive humming noise in the video while you were driving that made it hard to hear anything else. Maybe experiment with positioning of the camera or record sound separately from a mic close to you.

After many v12 point releases, the beta FSD software is still making the *same* *mistake* . So sad.

they have only been 12.3.X patch releases, so would expect very subtle changes. If it doesn't improve on the 12.X e.g. 12.4, 12.5, etc. then it would be more of a concern

@@GamerBoyRobby If 12.4 or 12.5 still have problems (and they will), then what will people say? Wait for 12.6, it will be amazing Wait for v13, it will be a *game* *changer* That's how this thing is unfolding.

@DerekDavis213 i totally agree. I dont mean it would be a major issue if it wasn't fixed then, but more significant than a patch relese
