I'd recommend getting a hold of another Tesla equipped with FSD (Supervised) v12.3.6 and operate it through the same left turn to see if it would do the same thing as yours had done. Maybe your local Tesla showroom locations would be willing to give you a loaner car to narrow down to any possible hardware (FSD computer and sensors) compatibility issues.

First time viewer. Great video. At 3:43 I think FSD was trying to take evasive action from car behind it moving forward to make right turn. I'm glad you are reporting things that need to be fixed. This is the feedback Tesla Autopilot team needs.

As I mentioned in previous videos at this intersection, I’ve lived here for 20+ years. FSD v10 & v11 had zero issues.

This software 12.xx has 100% problem driving TOO CLOSE to the curb even in Parking lot I had one time car run over the curb. It should had pulled fwd then make a right turn but it was all wrong coming out of the parking lot

I understand what you’re saying. But think about it, it didn’t behave like this in version 10 or 11, does not mean the previous behavior is the correct behavior, right? Maybe version 12 made improvements in this area (choosing the lowest risk route). Another example is that cars should not drive cross solid double yellow lines, but version 12 does that to pass double parked cars. It now drives more like a human does. I could be wrong about the not keeping in the center thing but I would also keep an open mind on this issue. BTW, I watched many of your videos since a while back and appreciated your insight. Thank you for doing that!

1. Car made an illegal turn left when the lane is designated to go straight. 2. Car should drive dead centered and not like a distracted person. Elon himself boasted before that FSD drives dead centered. FSD is always taking 1 step forward and 2 steps back. This is why I keep doing these videos to expose problem areas Tesla needs to fix. Really appreciate you watching them!

Yes, I think lane selection is incorrect in some situations and I do get the occasional indecisiveness between lane selection. I use FSD for 98% of all my drives and go invention free on almost all my drives. I had to take over on a U turn because there was a car super close behind me and driving too fast. I wonder if the 4:13 failure is partly due to relying on goggle maps. The map clearly says left hand lane for left turn but does not say the second to the left lane only goes straight, at least I did not see that on the map visualization.

Map has been this way for the last 20+ years that I’ve lived here at that intersection. Previous FSD had no issues with it only v12.

Hi Joy, great video! I have been watching you since I picked up my Tesla. I do want to make a minor correction, you are a very intelligent women so I am sure you just misspoke. at 6:11 you said 'parallel' as in parallel parking when that was supposed to be 'perpendicular'. You would be parallel to the other cars if you were already in the parking spot, your placement is perpendicular. I am having a lot of issues with indecisiveness (steering going back and forth) when entering to a double turn lane. Yesterday it entered into a wrong lane and then wanted to get out of it. As we sat there all of a sudden the steering wheel spun around to the right and was about enter traffic again. I hit the brake so fast because I had no idea that it wanted to do something else. I report everything hoping things get fixed. So I will drive that route every other day until it is fixed. EDIT: spelling corrections

Yes it hugs the right side of the road and travels way too close to parked cars it is really annoying and never gets fixed been this way for 5 years

Looks like right side is bike lane. When no bike is around, I would also drive hugging the right side, it's the safest route statistically, in my opinion.

No it should stay dead centered bike or not. It also drives on right lane marking when there’s no bike lane. Didn’t do this in FSD beta v10 or v11.
