Sorry this went out so late on a Monday everyone! KZread seemed to have some backend issues that caused processing to take a few hours which is also causing some issues with resolution. We expect it to sort itself out shortly.

We got the jaecoo J7 here in south Africa about 2 weeks ago. There is a plugin hybrid version coming aswell so Australia should get it too. Drove it myself very impressed, 14.8 inch touchscreen. Heated cooled seats, sunroof everything. Decent fuel economy aswell. Here it starts at 550000 rand, so say 44000 AUD. But will likely be cheaper for you guys

I had watch Wheelsboy on YT as you say Mini look great but also reckon Buick GL8 PHEV interior was best in car industry very similar to Caddy interior design.

What !! nobody from Carexpert went to the Beijing show ? this should be top priority for a car channel, Chinese brands are killing it with electric and styling, traditional brands are dying.

@@CarExpertAushe didn't have a video camera? People want to see videos not only pics and someone's written impressions. It's more real when you hear and see the show in a movie format than a webpage.

All that fancy lights and over the top styling only matter to people with shiney object syndrome and no logic. The china knock offs are worthless and no customer support. You get what you pay for.

Your knowledge of the issue with the Cybertruck pedal is not great journalism. If you break when it happened the power to the motors are cut and the truck stops. If this happened in a ICE vehicle you would be in a world of hurt.

Interesting point. Technically the drive by wire of ICE cars could also reduce the throttle by hitting the brake, but I am not aware of any that work that way except to cancel cruise control. Conversely though, if the 48 volt system that powers the steering on a Cybertruck failed at speed, you would be in all sorts of trouble, and there would be no way to maintain steering or stop it from performing a strange full lock or similar. Very scary.
