So you accept a job making a wage that will help you eat and stay out of debt, but later you find out that your white coworkers doing the same work are making 5-10x what your making. That's life changing money. Yes, you can definitely be grateful for opportunities and also a conduit for change. There are those activists who make a lot of sacrifices for change and equality so that guys like Terry can eat. He may not be called to activism but when people like Taraji, Terrence and others make it possible for higher paying roles, he should sing their praises instead.

Terry Crews is the epitome of betting on yourself! He is also the epitome of remaining who YOU are, especially when those who didn't YOU during YOUR struggles attempt to tell you how you should walk, talk or in Terry Crews' case, act! He stated in the full version of his interview that many people tried to tell him what would work and what wouldn't work, but he stayed true to himself and in the end, it paid off.

I agree 100%. The actors and their agents negotiate the terms and can walk away if they don't like it. If Hustle & Flow had flopped, we'd hear nothing about those 12 G's. Since they didn't have the foresight to ask for points on the backend, now it's framed as Terrence being underpaid instead of him and his team underestimating its earning potential.
