Has nothing to do with being healthy, even pushing the limits of how much muscle you can build without steroids is no where near being "healthy". this what actual masculinity is, don't confuse that testosterone fuelled aggression, stupidity & lack of self-awareness in an attempt to fit in, as legitimate masculinity. mind you, even true masculinity is now demonized & that moronic gillette commercial helped start driving the final nail into that particular coffin.

One of the key things through the whole video was agency and gratitude through action, being given an opportunity and making the most of it almost out of a moral obligation going beyond gratitude. Even before Training Day and his acting career taking off.. Terry played D1 college ball and had a decent 7 year NFL career. That on its own is a major accomplishment to anyone. To still be humble after all his success and everything hes been through, really shows his great character.

I mean, I think most of the movies he's in are absolute stinkers, but he always gives it his all and is just a humble guy. We need more people to look up to these days and he's one of them. Sad though that if he makes one slip up, the internet vultures will eat him alive.

His commentary on his Training Day experience really reminded me of a video I watched of a known Filipino actor talking about his career. He said in the early 80s or 90s, they'd cast big, tall guys as the goons also! The muscle, the bad guy. But eventually that particular actor became even more known also for his comedic, soft characters.
