I worked as a doorman at a nightclub, one night Vince comes in with his wife and I get stationed in his section. Not only does he take the time to have a fifteen minute conversation with me, initiated by him, he tracks me down before he leaves and tells me what an amazing time he had and thanks me personally for taking care of his party. Class act all the way.

I really love how he can talk about all of his characters without constantly saying ummm….ummmmm, he actually knows what he’s going to say, and he uses his words and you can tell by that, he’s extremely intelligent. He is extremely focussed on what he’s saying, and can articulate it to a higher degree than I’ve heard most people do.

Agreed. Very articulate. If noticed a lot of his dialogue on Swingers was actually his conversations or jokes that got transposed. Pretty cool. If you like this you should hear him on WTF w/ Marc Maron podcast interview. He's got a razor sharp wit and off the cuf zingers. Their banter is really funny.

I think that Mr Vaughn is a criminally underrated actor. We all know he has comedy chops. However, he also has tremendous range. The barracks scene in Hacksaw Ridge is spectacular and one of the most wonderfully over-the-top yet believable Staff Sergeant characters since Full Metal Jacket. Here, it’s plain to see he’s passionate about what he does and loves getting into the core of what the story, and his character, is truly about.

You either need them to bring a character to life or you need them to be themselves in front of the camera. I used to regard Vince Vaughn as just another personality but this changed all of that. He had so much insight into his roles that it changed my mind. Likewise, I learned that I am woefully unfamiliar with all of his roles and need to seek out more of his movies now.
