Assuming Pacman isn't considered Atari rep, if smash were to try and represent all legendary companies responsible for the existence of games, Atari should at some point get a character too so the idea is there for someone. Most likely not ET (although I would kill for an ET spirit where you fight ridley and there are pitfalls everywhere), but perhaps some abstract symbol from those games.

Marco over Kyo or Terry? Yeah, no. But then, it makes no sense Kyo being SNK's representant. He may be SNK's face at this moment, but Fatal Fury came way earlier and made a history for itself, not to mention that Terry is still a big part os KOF's history. SNK could not be better represented then by Terry. Just look at all youtube and the internet, we all knew from the start.

I really like that people at Nintendo NY knew who Terry was and enjoyed the trailer as much as I did. As a mexican, I can tell you that SNK and all their characters are very appreciated here by the latin american gamer community. I'm happy that the legendary wolf made it into one of the most important franchises of gaming history.

I guarantee a hard 75% of this room had no idea who Terry was before the leak/reveal. HOWEVER that is not a bad thing, because now 100% of this room knows who Terry Bogard is now, and I find that amazing. Smash has so much power and they're using that power to give back to the games that made Smash even a possibility. Smash wouldn't exist without games like Street Fighter, King of Fighters, and other amazing Fighting Games. Sakurai used to play these titles which is why he's paying his respects to the things he loves this way.

I was 11 when Fatal Fury 1 was released and played it both on Arcades (MVS) and on Neo Geo AES. I'm 40 now and watching those guys who weren't even born in 1991 chanting Terry Bogard's name made me cry a bit. Good job, Sakurai!

Terry has always been my favorite since capcom vs snk 2. He’s always been a good character hopefully he has good combos in this game such as ryu and ken who are good as well.

Awesome. Terry is the face of SNK. Thanks for the developer of Smash showing love to SNK. Its a beautiful company that deserves all the love and recognition. SNK has a long and beautiful history in video games. They are pioneers.

I never knew about terry at all prior to this, I have heard of kof, but never really got into it. Terry is now one of my favorite characters thanks to this

These are the absolute best reaction videos. It’s so awesome seeing fans get hyped over video game legends getting brought back, especially for the biggest crossover game ever

While i was hoping on my soul for the reveal to be Mai Shiranui, Terry is the mascot of SNK and their entire library of fighters imo. He's one of the first names that comes to mind when you think of SNK Fighting Games. I'm so stoked for his arrival in Smash and hearing this crowd chant Terry's name during the reveal was so nice to hear after everything that went down the week leading up to this. Can't wait!

As a fun fact, the first game made by the alliance between Capcom and SNK was SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium, which was released in November 1999 in North America. Terry Bogard will be released in Smash Ultimate in November 2019, so it would not be crazy to think that for reasons of the 20th anniversary of what that alliance was and that now both companies are reunited in a fighting game (Smash Bros), can appear some song related to this croosover video game series. Personally, This Is True Love Makin' along with Stimulation would be my favorite to be in Smash. It brings me great and beautiful memories! 😎✌🏻

Iori Yagami would be the best choice for MK11. Either him or someone from SamSho.

Honestly, I don't know Terry personally because I never played Fatal Fury nor KOF (Though I did play the demo version of Kof14) but having him in smash is a really good choice if I do say so myself. I mean, he is the face of SNK like Sonic is with Sega, Ryu with Capcom, and Cloud with Square Enix.

Yep I wish we can all see everyone's reaction to Steve, Sepiroth, and Kazuya.

Man, I sure had a blast last year. I stood up so late just to find out if the leak was true and my heart was racing just to find which SNK character is going to be in Smash. I was born in 1994, however throughout my childhood I mostly played arcade games and I own a PlayStation. In the early 2000's emulators started to rise like MAME and Visual Boy and I played a ton of them. I was impressed with the Neo Geo games and I fell in love with Metal Slug and KOF. I'm glad that people younger than me are introduced to a character I main the most in KOF. If you do play any SNK fighting game, prepare yourself for the mid and final bosses.

I’ve never played fatal fury before, but I’m very happy that these people got a wanted character in and I’ll definitely try him out and I’m sure he’ll make a great addition to the roster

This was such a great thing to happen, because of this I discovered the absolute gems that was the SNK fighting games.

The love of gaming, the vibe of craziness is even gone out of the hoke. Already excited to watch terry gameplay on smash gross and can't wait to play my self..😍

I know nothing about any of these characters, but this reveal got me hella hyped.

I only know SNK for the metal slug series, but the fact that they're getting representation is still really cool.

This why love games they bring us all together

For some reason, even though I don’t really care that much about smash, seeing people’s reactions to stuff like this makes me really happy lol :))))

After listening to all the negativity about the next reveal being an SNK character, an allegedly "Obscure" game company, I was hoping there would be a video like this after seeing your reaction vids for Hero and Banjo. I was not disappointed. Thank You.
