That poor thing, and to think that someone made her that way. I can't believe how wicked and cruel some people can be. I'm so happy that she got a good home and gets to run and play and be loved upon, the things which dogs were made to have.

Honestly abused animals and abused humans that are forgiving are amazing. I honestly can't understand haw thous poor souls can still trust people after what they have experienced. I have a friend that she was in a abusive relationship, after she recovered she adopted two cats with abuse history by previous oners. My own mother adopted an abused small male cat and he is happy in present by her side. It takes special humans to adopt special animals.

From the way she behaved she was most likely abused by her previous owners, not just abandoned. And I dont mean physically, but psycholically. Screaming at a dog, punishing it for stuff they dont understand, when these kinds of things are repeated over and over, the dog will either become more and m9re agressive to defend itself, or it will become very very scared of everything.

Who could hurt such a innocent loving sweet dog like that it's really sickening absolutely no dog deserves to be abused but the fact it happened to be such a sweet and trusting dog is even worse

Piper apparently learned, from prior experience, to not trust people. Other dogs, however, were not a threat. I'm so glad you showed her that WE are not all bad. Bless you for saving her!

@@jillemburey3214 hmmm, well in some sense. To be honest, it doesn't mean you can't be good, it's just that through our comfort, we slowly tear this planet apart and make it sick. We contaminate, we kill, we stubbornly hold our ideals. Think of humans like a parasite living in a body, and that body is Earth. As parasites, we eat and destroy whatever there is that the Earth has to offer, until the Earth is too weak and tired to hold us, and dies, leading to our own deaths. At least this process will take a relatively long time. Either way, you can be good in your own definition of being good. Because morality is completely subjective anyways. Maybe you killed someone with full intent, but maybe you're also helping other millions more to live. Does this make you good or bad? So just be you, we are alive and being alive opens the possibilities of making mistakes. Just do whatever you believe is the right thing to do. Everyone has their own way of seeing things. Everyone has their own perspective in life, so have yours as well. And don't worry too much in being bad as everyone has a bit of bad inside them. If given the right circumstances, they are capable of doing exactly what hitler did, or worse. So yeah, be you while also understanding that there are consequences to your actions. Both good and bad consequences.

Being dumped like that rocked her world, damaged her spirit and destroyed her trust. It’s not an uncommon reaction for sensitive animals that suffer a traumatic experience like that.

It's a very bad sign when a dog is that scared of people, I'm glad she has a loving home and family now!

I was SO happy when you brought up adoption. She truly does seem like a different dog now she's learned to trust you guys. Lovely happy ending.

Me too! She was so terrified of humans, because she was abandoned (and god knows what else they did to her 😭). For her to finally trust someone, I think she would feel abandoned all over again if they gave her away to someone else 😭🤦🏼‍♀️ Especially when her dogs are already bonded with Piper - she would feel heartbroken yet again. This family are good for her 💖 One of my dogs was the same way 😔 She was abused badly and was abandoned. She was so terrified and timid. As soon as we got her home, she hid. It took weeks for her to realise that we weren’t going to slap her, or kick her. Fast forward, and she was the best baby ever 😂💖 She was a different dog. The only thing she never did was lick humans, or step on you if she was getting up from lying on the sofa next to you. It was left over from being abused 😔 they must have hit her if she licked them, or touched them. What evil people could ever treat animals that way?! There isn’t enough *legal* consequences for animal cruelty 😒 prison sentences should be mandatory because if you can hurt a living creature that has emotions and feels physical pain - without empathy - what can you do to humans? 😒 Anyone that hurts animals, can hurt kids. That’s how I feel.

@@TallulahFoxxx What a sad, yet beautiful story❤ Also, I wholeheartedly agree with your last statement. Serious PRISON time should be MANDATORY if found GUILTY of animal abuse!! It actually very much surprises me that the laws still are not harsh enough when it comes to that!! There have been endless cases I've heard of, even locally, where the person/people literally get away with just a "slap on the wrist" SMFH. What is that teaching??!! What is that solving??!! If more serious consequences were given then I'm sure that the neglect/abuse rate would go down at least some, && the scums of the earth would be brought to justice && hopefully never be able to legally own any animals again. I just do not understand the logic, or should I say -- lack thereof!!

I understand the power and the importance of fostering but in this case especially I am so please for Pipper that she got adopted she really really fits in with this family of people and dogs. So good to watch!!.

Jesus! My heart just broke seeing that poor dog huddle in the corner and staring at the wall! Thank you for helping to bring Piper out of her shell and giving Piper a loving home.

It always brings tears to my eyes when I see such a scared soul offer their belly for rubs. Good job to everyone who helped this sweet girl. Animal people are the best.

The second that you see her eyes, you want to take care of her. She's so beautiful

It breaks my heart just imagining what animals go through to make them so afraid.

That black face is so beautiful and those eyes! Those were eyes meant to smile and a tail meant to wag endlessly. I'm so happy for her now.

The belly up is always the best sign of trust and comfort. Great job.

She is absolutely gorgeous & so adorable. So sorry she was so terrified.

Piper knew she had found her home and her forever pack. People like this.

That's how my dog was when I found her at the shelter. Scared, not barking at all and hiding in a corner. She crawled to me like a crocodile just shaking so bad. I pet her and that was it; she's never left my side since. She was 4 months old then, she'll be 5 years old this November 2022💜💜

The look in her eyes before she learned that there were ok humans ... some monster put that look there. The other dogs and these two loving women showed her what life could be like in a loving home. ❤️ I was pretty psyched that this ended up as a foster fail 😊❤

It's so heartbreaking to see a wonderful dog to be so timid like that. I have no idea what she went through, but I'm absolutely glad her new hoo-mom is an awesome loving lady. Bless her kind soul for giving her some hope to carry on living. 🤗💖

"Transformation" - what a glorious word. Nothing like a pack to bring such a timid soul to realize that life really can be great. Millions of licks and love to you all 🐶

This touched me in so many different ways. anger at how someone can reduce a poor dog to an empty terrified untrusting soul, to complete joy at seeing her confidence come back and the transformation back to the carefree loving animal she is. Thankfully she is now in a loving environment with a beautiful family, surrounded by friends Her life is now complete.

The poor thing. I hope she gets a good and loving home.

Piper seems like a dog that had little human interaction in a good way, but was left by herself or with other dogs most of her life. Lovely dog, good to see her learn to trust people and be loved.

SHE WAS SO TERRIFIED OF HUMANS UNTIL SHE SAW THE OTHER DOGS SHOWING HER THAT ALL HUMANS ARE NOT BAD.... LOVE THIS..... SUCH A BEAUTIFUL GIRL.......

This beautiful gentle girl was terrified! My thanks to the amazing shelter for doing exactly what Piper needed to get her to a foster home immediately. A perfect setting where Piper could see how happy, safe and relaxed the other dogs were. What a sign of happiness and security when Piper is looking for belly rubs. I had 2 shelter dogs, for many years, my daughter worked at 1 for many years as a vet technician for 17 years, bring back tears. GOOD JOB.

The foster mom, Angela, is not only a guardian angel but also a smart psychologist. She knew how important social relations would be for this terrified dog, so she let her run with the pack. Piper was terrified of humans, not of other dogs. One can only imagine what humans had done to her to make her cringe in fear. "We are learning from her (Piper the foster dog) just as she is learning from us." A pearl of wisdom. Yes, we humans can learn a lot about love by watching dogs.

It ALWAYS breaks my heart to see these videos of these scared animals learning to love and trust and bond with a foster parent just to be given away shortly after. So this story was extra special

Damn, girl took a 1 hour nap and was ready to change. We can learn so much from animals

Its so so heart breaking to see a animal so so broken it kills me what drives a human to just be so so cruel and just not care ! An angel in fur! Our rescue kitty is warm on the bed, knowing she’s is loved and our lives! She’s almost 11 and has been with us 10 years. Our lives and hearts would be empty without her.
