oh yikes, sorry you've had a tough time. Thankfully Sid has been a dream since day one. I got him with 80 miles on [basically picking him up] and he is now on near 14k with zero issues. I hope it continues hehe

I followed live timing, kept my fingers crossed and maybe helped a tiny bit with all your other followers towards success. Lots of work and help and money needed to make such an event! Awesome. Hope to see the Dakar rally to return one day. Your super fit Vanessa... I'm sure you will do well. It's not only physical test but a mental one too. Your limits will no doubt be tested. One of your biggest challenges. Good luck

Excellent. Very wise to put on some weight before you set off...there's a daily limit to what the body can absorb in the course of a day, and it falls when you are working hard. Mr Poskett struggled to get enough food down when he did the Dakar a few years ago, starting the day with a huge bowl of cold stale past and 3 chocolate milks is enough of a challenge without having to ride a motorbike after. had to laugh at the Land Rover off-road...we did worse than that in a Citroen 2CV yesterday. But I don't think the 2CV could move that trailer, let alone tow it across France.

@@TheGirlOnABike The Citroen has its next outing in the Lands End Trial on Good Friday.Driver is John Turner. Amazing suspension, but no power! I won't be in it though, I'm riding a motorcycle in the daylight class with my two brothers.

@@TheGirlOnABike well, we got to the end of a rather truncated event and all had a good time. The 2CV sadly ate its timing gear the day before the trial. Would you consider doing the Edinburgh Trial (maybe on the H-D Pan america)? It would make a great grass-roots (or routes) video!
