Wow, thanks so much for the kind words! It really makes my day to hear that the show means that much to you, and that honestly helps inspire me to keep it going! The next episode should be out within a few weeks. It's a big one that took a ton of work and was mostly filmed last November(!) but some big changes (good ones) in my life delayed things a bit. But it's about 99.6% finished now, and it should be out soon!

I seriously didn't even know these made it to market! I live in Milwaukee and in 2nd grade my friend Jose's mom was working for a candy company as a janitor and she got a case of these when they were still in the test phase and she gave us each a container after softball practice and it was so damn sour I struggled to thru even a portion of the tin as I shared them with all my neighborhood friends who couldn't believe I had "unreleased" candy, lol. But the reason I thought they never made it to market was cuz out of the numerous candy stores i frequented as well as gas stations and grocery I never once saw then on a shelf nor did anyone I have ever met...AND I LIVE IN MILWAUKEE! I was honestly starting to wonder if I hadn't dreamed the whole thing so this video just made my day or made life, lol

Happy Halloween Tfor2! First of all I just want to say congratulations on getting 1000 subscribers! You finally did it 👍 Now to discuss the actual video. How appropriate to cover movie licensed candy for the occasion. The news article about the Brick boy was interesting too. How did you discover that? Were you just doing research on the candy and found it? Their description of it being like a cigarette burned a hole in his tongue made me have a morbid curiosity to see just how bad it was. 5:25 I like the way you make this like a television show by adding in old 90’s commercials. The way you implemented the WKVS logo was also very seamless. This actually reminds me of another KZreadr named “RebelTaxi” who does a similar thing using old commercials for breaks. I recommend his channel if you are into animation. 11:58 I found it humorous the way the mouse pushed down the VHS tape. Do my eyes deceive me or are all of the shots where the mice appear have them green screened into them? As I looked more at that particular shot of the mouse pushing the tape down I now noticed a string at the top of the tape as well once it was laid faced down. I would like to add that it doesn’t make the scene less funny though as I still like it. It adds a low budget charm to it in my opinion. I also noticed those Tourettes Guy soundbites again at the end 😄 I was surprised to see you actually ate the expired candy. I don’t think I would have done that if I were you. That reminded me of someone who opened up a can of TMNT pasta from 1991 just to see how it looked. Of course they didn’t eat it though as it was inedible. They show images of the expired pasta so be careful if you have a weak stomach: dinosaurdracula.com/blog/tmnt-pasta-1991/ 1:03 I’m sure this was written before the unfortunate accident involving Alec Baldwin but it just seems like coincidental timing to speak of firearm safety in this regard 😬 Sorry for bringing that up as it’s definitely not the right place to do it but it was just rather recent so it’s still fresh in my mind.

Thanks so much, man! I always enjoy your comments. And I'm so glad you caught the Tourette's Guy on set again - the whole time I was putting him in there, I was thinking about how I hoped you would notice. 😁 In regards to the Brick Boy story, I'm always scouring any sort of online news archives for anything related to The Terminator and T2 (particularly those early days, like from 1984-1996 or so). And while I was searching around for info on the Terminator candies a few years back, I came across those articles and knew I had to use them in the show. So I've been waiting probably over two years to share the story of Brick Boy, haha! I'm glad you like the old commercials! I'll have to check out RebelTaxi, because yes, I am DEFINITELY into animation! Thanks for the recommendation! In regards to the mouse effects - you're absolutely right, the mouse was inserted into the show via green screen. 😄 I was wondering if anyone was going to catch that! So yes, you're right, I used a string to pull the VHS tape over, knocking down the Kenner Exploding T-1000 figure... and then I inserted the mouse, as though he was doing it. I was going to remove the string, but these videos take so much time to make, and it's mostly because of those little things like that... and that was one of the very last shots (or maybe THE very last shot) that I was working on. And I was starting to work on masking out the string, and then I thought, "Ah, fuck it... it's a really quick shot, you can barely see it, most people will be focused on the mouse, and if anyone DOES notice the string... then it's the type of person who loves this sort of thing and deserves to notice it anyway." So kudos to you for spotting that! I'm impressed. In regards to the candy - yeah, that was my honest reaction when I saw how brown it was, haha. But it really tasted fine, aside from being a bit "perfumey." And I'm definitely familiar with Dinosar Dracula and his amazing TMNT pasta can! I've been a fan of his for years, so you could say that he is one of my inspirations for this show. Regarding the Alec Baldwin accident - that's an interesting point. I wrote probably three weeks before that happened, and filmed it two weeks beforehand, so it happened while I was editing this episode together... and by that time, I was so deep into working on this episode when the news broke that I didn't even consider the connection. But now that you point it out, I suppose I should be lucky that it didn't offend or upset anyone! (As far as I can tell, anyway). Thanks again for the terrific comment! I'm so glad you enjoy the show!

@@Tfor2show It's hard to not miss Tourettes Guy's voice when it is so distinct to me. Wow you waited two years to tell that Brick boy story. Well it was very interesting to learn about them and added more to this video. As for RebelTaxi, here’s a good video to start with about animation errors: kzread.info/dash/bejne/iYGEq5pulbTWo6w.html I had a feeling that the shots with the mouse were put in by green screen. As an old internet adage says, I could tell from some of the pixels and from seeing quite a few edits in my time. Honestly at first glance I thought you used an actual mouse and that the shot of the mouse pulling down the VHS tape was legit but the more that I kept looking at it the more I noticed that string too. As I said before I think it does give it a low budget charm. I think your wife was right in not getting an actual mouse from the pet store for the video. I mean what would you do with it after you finished filming? At least nothing bad happened to you from eating the expired candy. It’s great to know you were aware of that pasta can page already as well. I am not as familiar with Dinosaur Dracula myself as I only knew of them from that. In regards to the Alec Baldwin accident, I figured you wrote that part about firearm safety before it happened. I may not make videos at the moment (I’m hoping to sometime in the future) but I know it’s a long process at the very least. I don’t think there is any reason for anyone to take offense but then again this is the internet after all 😁 Thanks for responding and for all the insight you have provided for me.

@@ZM256. Hey man! Thanks for the RebelTaxi video. I just added it to my Watch list! What would I have done with the mouse after filming? Well, to be honest, I planned to just get one of those mice that they sell at pet stores for feeding to snakes, which I assume aren't tame or anything. And then when I was done, I was going to pay him for his performance by setting him free. 🤷‍♂️ That was my original thought anyway. But I think this worked out much better. In regards to video editing... how long it takes depends on what you plan to do. I made the mistake (haha) of formatting my show in a manner that features an excessive amount of on-screen graphics and sound effects and all sorts of other odd shots, so that's why mine sometimes take so long. I'm also super picky about how I deliver my lines, so sometimes filming takes a lot longer than it probably should. Lots of people on KZread have that style where they just sorta ad-lib stuff and use a jump-cut style of editing where they just cut out all of the space between sentences so that it's sorta rapid-fire, and they don't do a lot in terms of graphics or sound effects. That sorta thing would probably be far easier and would certainly require far less time to produce. So it just depends on what you're doing. 🙂

@@Tfor2show Hope you enjoy RebelTaxi's videos. His humor is pretty out there sometimes though. I think it would be a nice gesture to free the mouse but who knows if it would have survived out there in the wild though. I think not getting an actual mouse was a good idea in the end since it is more cost effective as well. Where did you get the footage for the shots with the mouse in them then anyways? Did you use a stock website or something similar to it? In my opinion, it was certainly no mistake to make your videos in a TV show format as that is what makes it appealing for me. Your production value really shows in each video. Take as much time as you need to make each video the results will show in the final product. Honestly, if I were to make videos I would also be very super picky about line delivery so I understand that. I’d feel conscious about whether it would sound awkward or not. I’m sure for you there are multiple takes just for a few lines. Every channel has a different way to make videos but that’s what I like about this site as I get to see the unique personalities from each channel. However, there’s also channels that churn out videos constantly so the quality of them decreases because of that and I’m glad you are not like that. I am very patient when it comes to uploads from any channel as I know the more time that is taken the better it will be.

Robert Pantelli might have the answer 🤔😆 Would be fun if you actuality managed to interview Brick Boy on the show and get his take on the story after all these years 😛 Maybe he's still a T2 fan? 🤔 I'm impressed that you actually went ahead and gave those melted candies a try. That's what I call commitment! 😀 It's a good thing they didn't burn a hole through your tongue, though... Imagine the headlines: "Local TV presenter gets tongue burned while trying 30-year-old candy. Files lawsuit against WKVS Studios." Would be kinda fun, actually 😆 BTW, I love how you reused the 'pull it out!' sample for the package opening. Just had to Google "Action Park." WOW! Can't believe I hadn't heard of that place before! I have some reading to do. In regards to tracking down Brick Boy - I tried! I actually found a Thomas Fillorino who lived VERY close to Brick, NJ (according to his Facebook profile), and I thought for sure he was going to be the guy - but when I contacted him, he didn't recall ever having a painful childhood encounter with Terminator 2 candy. Regarding trying the candy - my response when opening the container in this episode was genuine, haha! I expected the coating had probably melted down (funny considering that's what they're called - now why didn't I think to say that in the episode??), but I didn't expect them to have turned brown, so I really hesitated to try them... but I'm not one to let my viewers down! I love the imaginary headline, though. 😆 Regarding the Knife Biker's "Pull it out!" sample - it's quite likely that I will be opening many packages with that knife as the show rolls on... and when I do, it's quite likely that I will use that sample every single time. 😁 Thank you as always for the kind words, and for the wonderful review! I always look forward to it! 💙

Yeah, she definitely seems to have been looking for attention. If anything, I could see a super sour/acidic candy MAYBE taking a little bit of the top layer of skin off of someone's tongue, but to "burn a hole" in someone's tongue sounds like a big exaggeration.

@@c.f.pedraza4057 Yeah, I agree that it's a stretch. I'm just comparing it to personal experience... I by these bags of salt & vinegar almonds by Blue Diamond. They're fantastic! But they're also super acidic because of the vinegar, and if I eat a ton of them in one sitting, sometimes it feels like I lose a thin layer off the top of my tongue, and my tongue is kinda sensitive for the rest of the day. I know it's a stretch compared to what the lady in the article claimed, but it's the closest think I can compare it to.

@@cj8683 Yeah, they were originally an assortment of bright colors. I believe green was one of the colors, and I think the others were pink, yellow, and orange... the acidic coating of them melted over the years and it all sorta mixed the colors together, which is why they're all just brown now. 😬

Ah yes, the 1990s, when candy came with a free tongue piercing. You're a brave man, I wouldn't even have licked that shitty looking candy. You know when you have diarrhoea and you shit in a sifter and let the fluid drain - it looks like that, the stuff that's left in the sifter.
