Terminator 2: Judgment Day (NES) Playthrough - NintendoComplete

Ойындар

A playthrough of LJN's 1992 NES game, Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
Awesome adaptation of the film, but did they seriously have to make the motorcycle level and the steel works so hard? I mean, no continues? Oh well, it certainly made for a satisfying accomplishment once I beat it!
That, and those cinematics are pretty awesome for the NES.

LJN acquired the rights to a Terminator 2 video game after reading the film's script. The company said that the film license offered an array of gameplay possibilities and lasting popularity. The game was developed by Software Creations and published by LJN for the NES. LJN also published a version for the Game Boy. The company believed that players who owned an NES were also the same people who would own a Game Boy. Therefore, LJN chose to make the NES version a completely different game, offering players a variety. The NES version was released in February 1992, in the U.S. and U.K.

What I like best about this game is the gameplay, the music, and how accurately it follows the plot of the movie. All in all, a decent movie based game. that level is hard the steel factory especially with the moving platforms, you have to fight the boss there 3 times. and at the end, you have to punch him then he falls on his back, keep doing that untill the boss falls in the molten steel pots. then jump on the hook and go left, where sarah and john waiting for you... watch the ending (movie he says "there is 1 more chip" the nes he says no, there is another chip. i must go away or i am the future... that is never sed in the movie) but he says in the nes and the movie, i can not self terminate, you must lower me into the steel (no, its not lava as everyone on this planet says, its molten steel)

I really want to cry,I remember my Dad brought that 8bit console for me and I bought the Cadette soon after with 15 games installed and I was 6-7 then so I couldn't pronounce Terminator and I used to call it Thief and I used to fight for my turn,No homework worries,No responsibility and today I literally searched Thief game console 8 bit but then Terminator came into my mind

RealDjToddThunder I know how it feels, I really miss my childhood days. We in India didn't have that much cartoon channels that much except for two or three like Cartoon Network, Jetix. I really loved Tom & Jerry and Looney tunes. I even had a Key chain of tweety.

RealDjToddThunder Same here it was so expensive and as long as I know my Nes was a copy as the original was expensive so there was a China made Nes copy so I had that and we friends used to exchange video game cassette with each other and it's a big thing to even own the Copy. nobody knew about the original Nes, We used to call it 'Video Game Console'.

It was one of my favorite NES games, but at first I didn't like it. At first I always had problems with Level 2, but then I was ending this game in one life. Thanks for the upload of the gameplay from this game and for bringing back the memories. :)

I remember playing this back in Elementary school, the canal/truck chase scene and the last level took forever for me to get past, but eventually, I did. Also, I remember the weapon upgrade was useless, so eventually, I went around killing people anyway.

I rented the game once as a kid, I was able to get to the Cyberdine stage by myself. My dad made it to the steal mill once and never again. I liked this game despite the flack it gets now. If you think this one is hard the Genesis and Super Nintendo versions are a lot more unforgiving

I played it on a black and white TV for the first time. Little by little I beat the first level, but I couldn't figure out what to do then. I didn't know I could open up all those gates just by shooting... hm, there's an explicit hint in the film, though. I was 10. How time flies 😢

Always love reading your thoughts on the games you play. Watching the game was fun, the sprite work and sound are excellent and a very fair representation of the film, better than most on the NES. With a bit of refining in GP they could have had a classic rivaling Sunsoft Batman on their hands. As is, not a bad LJN game. Watching this gives me a little courage to get better at the game. Seeing you can stomp some of the enemies in the opening level is helpful. Well played my man. 🔥💪😎

It might be the Nostalgia Goggles talking, but I think this wasn't one of LJN's worst games. It followed the source material pretty well (with some liberties), and it is beatable. Also, great job on finding the hidden Continue Icon in the second level! I think I may have got it once or twice, but I couldn't for the life of me remember which car to shoot due to a lack of save states and video.
