Bud always struck me as being a slightly small welterweight but his speed translates to power in both hands. On top of that, he’s accurate and he’s got a chin on him. But what enables all of his physical attributes is his attitude. Once he makes up his mind he’s going to knock a dude’s head right off of his neck, he proceeds to do just that, with aplomb! The young Brother is a joy to behold in action!

I don't think he's a small welter. There's a pic of him and Floyd and he looks bigger. And from what I remember, Bud himself said he walks around Canelo's weight. He also looks bigger than Haney, and that Haney can rehydrate to 165. No way he's a slightly small welter. 💀

@@geez8780- I would not debate that with you, since it’s partly a matter of subjective impressions. You’re right anyway, to the degree that as guys move up in weight, they tend to “grow into” the new weight class with time, and of course Bud is no exception. My impression of him as being slightly small at welter was mainly from when he first moved up. Also, Errol Spence “looked” bigger to me. Maybe because he’d been at 147 longer, maybe it was just what my eyes saw. In any case, my observation that Bud seemed like a slightly smaller welterweight was in no way any detraction from him, he’s a Hell of a fighter at every weight he’s fought at.

Crawford is something else! from Aus.

You have to have guts to get in the ring with Crawford. He's quick, spookily accurate, and I'm sure his punches land harder than people expext. For a guy his size, he's an awesome force.

Great observation .. I was saying that the whole fight.. those pats are as effective as faints because it sets the opponent up for the real thing. Tank and Bud intentional decioeve you into thinking you can take their strongest punch and later in the fight when your confidence is high... Here comes the boom.

Crawford need to work on his head movement more Sometime stands too much in front of the guy causing him to get caught with flush punches ( here for example he got rocked with right hands numerous times, and gamboa rocked em And gamboa is A small guy

Dude didn’t know what hit him. Once he collected his thoughts, he remembered that he was in a fight. Bud can take a punch and he definitely can dish one out. He dishes them out more than he takes them. This guy gave him a better fight, in my opinion, than any other fighter because you had two boxers throwing they best shots, fighting toe-to-toe. Bud was just more precise with his right hook.

He done broke his glove with punching power. Way to make a statement...

I said the same thing. Either he was juiced up, or something was wrong with spence. Something was definetly strange... I wouldn't be surprised if later down the line we find that Crawford did cheat. Boxing is corrupt. Don't get me wrong Craford is a beast, but I don't see how he struggles with lower tier fighters, then demolishes the other top guy in the division.

He would beat Canelo at 168...it would be his toughest fight. Canelo is power and size but Bud is technical and fast. When he starts fighting at 168 he will slow down but still be technical. I don't think Canelo is as smart in the ring as Bud. I think Bud could give a Mayweather a defeat as well.

David is stronger and more mature than Jose, but he is still paper in front of Bud's power and technique. I've seen David shake like a literal piece of paper when dealt heavy blows. That's his weakness, and Bud has that power.
