Canelo's trademark is making opponent's reluctant to let their hands go. Even betting favorite GGG in the second fight spent most of the fight backing up and staying busy mostly with his jab instead of committing to his power like usual and wouldn't throw to the body, and in the rematch also wouldn't let his hands go for much of the fight. Jacobs who's a big middleweight and fought GGG in a pretty much even fight wouldn't let his hands go for numerous rounds against him. Kovalev who's got one punch power at light heavyweight was reluctant to open up. Smith who's a huge super middleweight wouldn't let his hands go. Charlo who's undisputed and never been gun shy wouldn't let his hands go. Saunders and Plant were more active and got stopped. Limiting the risks opponents are willing to take is a mark of a special fighter but haters always twist things.

At 4:25-4:33 thats exactly why he doesn't want to fight Boots. Boits will embarrass Crawford, canelo will too. He see a bigger payday in canelo, and it would have been. First of all Crawford will be 37 if they ever fight second it will be at 168 that's 21 pounds north of 147 you do realize you loose speed and movement cause of added weight to a small frame bud will put more energy on every punch to keep Canelo honest he'll get tired faster just like Canelo vs bivol and canelo will put a lot of pressure on him and hit the body arms and lean on him to get him tired we know canelo can take a punch Crawford not so much it's redicalous when people compare Floyd vs Canelo yes may was 36 but he never left he's welterweight comfort zone he came in at 150 didn't loose one step and made canelo dehydrate to 152 so he made canelo weak and we already know he has slow feet for them welterweights Crawford doesn't have that luxury we don't know anything about Crawford past 147 you can't say he beats everyone at 154 or 160 cause he hasn't even beat even one champ at does weights.

I do understand the situation of Bud now being in his mid 30's and how that can certainly play a key factor, but the man is infinitely stronger than Mayweather ever was and is a naturally much bigger guy. Remember Bud had trouble making weight for the Spence fight. He is moving up for the bigger fights because he is done there at 147lbs. Onto ring strategies. Canelo tends to sit down on his big power shots, and his infamous nasty left hook to the body. Subtleties on the inside can disrupt that pressure and render that attack. Subtle moves, angles, and sharp reflexes neutralizes those certain qualities. Again, I am a huge fan and follower of both these fighters. Been following Canelo for years and years now. One of my all time favorites. Same with Crawford, when most casuals had no idea who he was. So, I believe that Canelo is backed into a corner right now and will have to face Benavidez in May. My hope is Crawford smokes Spence in the rematch, and maybe, just maybe. we will see these two Boxing Giants face off late next year. Talk about a Monster Movie!
