Something happened to Andrade in round 3 leading to the knock down in round 4. Benevidez body shots had Andrade retreating starting in round 3. He was thinking “yo this dude hits hard!”

I love how Jim had nothing but kind words for David. Not superfluous and generic compliments but actually accurately describing David’s character. David is a great fighter, and a seemingly great dude.

The sport misses this man so much. We lose hbo , showtime and Lampley and yet boxing is about to enter a really exciting era !! There are some all time matchups coming - and we need the coverage and the people who do it best !!

Andrade faught a great fight but the power eventually caught up with him, you can see his style can give most people problems and that’s probably the reason he’s just getting his first big fight at 35

You gotta admit that Andrade’s combos at the beginning were really crispy and precise! I was like what?! However, once Benavidez touched the body it all went downhill. Love Canelo, but he will need to bring his A game when he faces Benavidez. That power is no joke.

Andrade's combinations were mostly shoe shine punches that were being blocked. Andrade's main power punches come when he's loading up on winging shots but he couldn't them off once he stepped up his opposition because he telegraphs them. Benavidez isn't bringing anything Canelo hasn't seen before and he's not even a one punch KO guy, Andrade just didn't have the chin for 168. Benavidez has fought gatekeepers that held up longer than Andrade. Meanwhile, it's Canelo who's a different beast than anyone David has faced.

Great interview!! - Wow, I am telling you Jim knows more than what most people give him credit for! If you listen closely, again, to what he is saying is that Jermall will be fighting Canelo next! I believe this is also the plan, this is why he fought Jose Benavidez, to prepare him for a big payday fight. I think the Boxing GODS have something else planed for Benavidez and it does not involve Canelo. If you listen to JIm he mentions about Benavidez- " he could very well make him the first great Mexican- American heavy weight contender ... the biggest "commodity" in modern boxing ...biggest entertainment commodities in the entire world" - Jim is an insider in the networks who knows people and is privy to the background plans in boxing in the entertainment business.

Jim was all about David, like ummm who's Ryan Garcia..or Devin Haney...he's like I'm watching David!! He's right though, David is a beast, and I can't wait to see Canelo and David in the ring. I've been watching Jim since the mid 80's him and legend Larry Merchant, calling some of the best fights ever on HBO Boxing, miss those days. I'm like a few of mentioned below, why is he not working with some network, calling fights. I'd love to see him rather then some of the ones they got calling fights now on Showtime boxing. All in all great interview, Jim is the man!

Jim had me until he started talking about Benavidez fighting at heavyweight. Nah man, he's good at 168, may be 175 but not 200lbs plus. That's pushing it a little too much, even for a guy called El Monstruo.

Heavyweight champion maybe one of the greatest but his strength is walking people down and walking super middleweights and light. Heavyweights down is a lot different than walking heavyweights down.

I think Jim became unbearably biased towards the end of the HBO broadcasts, but I don’t hear that in recent interviews. Respectfully, I would love to see him back in the broadcast mix somewhere. Hope the tv execs feel the same.
