Teo is one of my favorites. However, on this question of facing mandatories, I disagree with the premise, which as he claims Loma used, that to fight a champion you have to first get a belt. If all 4 champs had that attitude, then nobody would get a belt. It would be gridlock, as we're having in boxing these days. You would think, well they could face each other for unification, but that's not what they do. Instead, they play games over who's the A-side and how much and this and that, all BS to duck each other for years. They literally rent the belts for years to then later claim legacy and greatness. And you would also think, well the organizations would impose mandatories, but that doesn't happen either. They are corrupt and there's always a way to get around it, unless they find one champion more lucrative for them than the next.

i do appreciate Teofimo Lopez .. yes he talks too much and i am waiting for him to perform against Jarmain Ortiz and see what he does after .. but as far as potiential ? He is clearly one of the best Talents/proven Boxers accross all the divisions and has anready 2 Very Good Quality Names to his resume accross 2 weight classes being Lomachenko ( who he fought in 2020 already ! ) and Josh Taylor --> Both former unified champions with very solid/good runs and he fought them both .. None of the others Boxers at 140lb comes close, except Josh Taylor who i still see as the best super lightweight given his resume ( Postol, Prograis, Ramirez )... beating the man is not enough, Boxers nowadays have to go the old school route an conquer à whole division like Golovkin at Middleweight. Ps : He did not look good against Nakatani, Martin, Kambosos .. but he did against Commey, Taylor and somewhat okey against Lomachenko but none does looks good against this natural 126 pounder .. and Teo deserves props for fighting one of the very best of our generation 4 years ago already. What about throwing shades at Romero, Davis [ Abdul ], Ryan, Shakur ? 😅 .. and those are vastly overrated
