Love the respect shown by the other singers for her lovely voice. They did not drown her dear voice out but harmonized so smoothly. This invoked nostalgia in me for kinder and sweeter times.

Losing our daddies as children robs us of many years of memories...we cherish the few we had time to make all the more! I have few happy memories of mine...most are of him being very ill and in pain. I try to focus on the happier ones knowing he's not in that painful place of illness any longer. 🙌

What a beautiful share. Had my 60 year old husband in tears, as his mom, no longer with us, used to sing this song to him while teaching him to dance as a young man. Thank you for bringing back this very special memory for him ❤❤

This woman has a beautiful rich tone to her voice! A true pleasure to listen to!!!

My mother passed in 2012 at the age of 99. She used to sing this song. It was the number one song the day my twin and I were born in 1951. Always loved the song. This lovely lady sang it beautifully.❤

She can sing beautifully. Wow, I'm in awe! Love this song, brings back memories of the time I was living on a ranch north of mountainburg,Arkansas. In 1973 I wanted to move west and ended up in Arkansas working on a ranch. They had no TV, so we set around the fireplace and singing. Tennessee waltz is my all time favorite song. Bring from eastern North Carolina, I realized ranch life is hard work. It was the most adventurous experience of my life. Sweet memories.

Beautiful! When I was a baby I had severe reflux. My Daddy used to put on the record player, turn the lights down, and waltz around the front room with me to Tennessee Waltz. I love this song. ❤

This just came up in my feed...my dad wasn't a singer, and I didn't associate "music" with my memories of him...but this brought back the times (maybe once or twice a year) when he'd come across his old guitar, tune it up, and sing this song. And that brought back a few family favorites-- performers Tennessee Ernie Ford, Jimmy Dean, and Hank Williams. Dad died at 96, almost 10 years ago.

I keep coming back...Beautiful singing. One of my favourites. ❤❤❤❤

OMG thank you.... I was born in 1948. When I was little, I somehow learned to play the piano by ear on a children's toy piano. My neighbors left me their piano and what did I play" -- country music!! I remember my Dad asking me to play the Tennessee Waltz, Down in the Valley, Red River Valley,,. etc. Thank you for the memories! Right after I saw your vid, I sat down and play the Tennessee Waltz in memory of my Dad. Thank you 🥰

This is how I think the angels in heaven will sound. My mom used to sing in the kitchen while cooking, her favorite was”Farther Along, “ when she sang this in her sweet soprano voice, you just knew there was a heaven. Thanks for sharing this , she’s priceless.

My word, that ladies voice is absolutely perfect, and to think she is 90 years old. I shudder to think how beautiful this might have sounded in 1950 or 60! Please give all of our love to your dear Mother, she is wonderful, and clearly full of the spirit.

I’m a 62 year old, African American and this song brought tears to my heart. (1) Athena harmony rendition was absolutely beautiful; and (2) it made me miss those simpler days when family and friends were near and dear and the crime rate was low.

Oh, y’all just made my old heart very happy! This was my Mamaw’s favorite song and I can still remember her sweet voice singing as she played the organ. She lived to be 96 and would be 130 years old now. She taught school in a one room schoolhouse with a pot belly wood stove. Anyway, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful voices❣️🙏

I am exactly the same. I am 62 and lost mother at 14, but she was a professional singer/musical, and there was always singing in my house. My mother would be this age of she had lived...so I too listen to this with tears running down my face, reminiscing of my beautiful mother singing this song. But I love you his beautiful lady's voice, as well as the other two. It brings back so many memories...I just love this more than words. 💖
