I've not seen any Tenessee fans mad or complaining about how nobody cares about the college world series national championship 😂. This is honestly the first ive heard of it. I've seen it all over social media and everyone seems to be proud of Tennessee. I just don't understand why people who don't like to see Tennessee do good and win make a big deal about how excited the Tennessee fans are about winning a national championship in one of the three major men's sports. It's not only a huge milestone for the baseball program, but it's a milestone for the university too.

No, it's not the same as a football natty but it's still a big deal. As a GA fan and I’m from GA but living in TN currently, about 1 hr from Knoxville, the one person I know how is a big TN fan is not mad. UGA is more of a football school. Maybe TN is more of a baseball school, just like Vandy.

I always looked at college baseball as a regional sport. Mainly southeast and Texas. The SEC has had the most fan support in the nation for college baseball and the best environments.

Can name them from the past 5 years we’ve had some dam good ones. Tn is at the top of baseball and have been. Most winningest program the last 5 years.

Not worried about it Lou😂 been following UT baseball my whole life, and if other people don’t care it’s their prerogative. If any Vols fans are out of line, get after them I don’t really care. I know how bad our fanbase can be.

Also great points made about college baseball. It historically is a sport many have not cared about. It is also rapidly growing. NIL hurt football but it saved college baseball. The amount of Pro-Talent retained by NIL has allowed college teams to not only hold onto their best players but recruit higher level talent to college in general. It has also created a more direct pipeline for college talent to make it to the mlb after college without spending years in the minor leagues. I’m proud for the vols to be dominant in a growing sport that has not reached its potential but is beginning to understand the potential it has.

i mean i’m happy tennessee won but game 3 of the MCWS finals got 3.34 million viewers (more than the USMNT match you mentioned along with a couple of your other examples). both games 2 and 3 peaked at over 4 million viewers (avg ~ 2.82M viewers) so it’s not like nobody cares but i have always loved your channel, lou. stay you man and love ya💪🏼.

He just needs to stick to football. The graphic he threw out there was only from the first 6 games of the CWS. 2 teams that have never won a national championship and yet it was a touch below last year’s viewership with a traditional power like LSU. The sport is growing, otherwise Tennessee wouldn’t be investing $100M into their stadium. He clearly doesn’t watch or know anything about baseball, just likes to stir the 💩

@@crazyunclelou you need to do more research Lou. Look at the tv ratings prior to the Caitlin Clark years and that’s more of what it will actually be. She is the female Steph Curry and the women’s game has never seen anything like her. Of course that is going to get eye balls. It did better than the men’s tournament for crying out loud. That’s never happened. So maybe just stick to football because you clearly don’t keep up with any other sports to be making an informed video without context.

I’m a Tennessee fan. A big one. I’ve followed Vol baseball closely since 2021ish. Before then I didn’t follow too closely. Baseball doesn’t matter too much to be honest. I’d say it’s definitely a top 3 college sport, but the dropoff from basketball to baseball is pretty big. I just don’t think you understand how diehard Tennessee fans are across all sports. Knoxville would legitimately be excited over a golf or tennis championship. I think honestly that this is a video based on a false narrative bc I’ve not heard anyone really complaining. Baseball has really taken over Knoxville and though most people don’t care, it’s something that we’ve gotten invested into so it is a big deal for us😁 no complaining here, just happy for our guys and our school
