Your defense is alright, but way too many missed opportunities by the Saints. Also don't pretend like it shouldn't be another TD lead for the Saints because the refs did their infamous, lets screw the Saints when they decided that deep ball to Olave where he started getting tackled before the ball got their when it should have been a TD. Agreed! Lifelong Raider fan (first game I went to was in '78) and I already miss Carr. He's always put up great numbers and did for the Saints today even with the pick. Garoppolo makes me nervous as hell with his happy feet. That pick in the end zone today was unnecessary. Yeah it was a tipped ball but G tried to force it when he could have simply thrown it away and had an easy field goal to tie the game. I am not impressed and not convinced with "Jimmy G". I think it was a passive-agressive slap to the face giving Aiden O'Connell the #4. C'mon man, you can't tell me that wasn't intentional.

He's ranked #37 in most TDs all-time in the NFL with 218. He's thrown more touchdowns than Terry Bradshaw, Matt Hasselbeck, Kurt Warner, Phil Simms, and Alex Smith....all who were in the league longer than Carr.

Carr has a knack for staying in the pocket for too long and fumbling. He has the most fumbles out of any qb in the league rb. Thats why he goes into fetal position when somebody barely touches him. Its so he doesnt fumble cause coaches got on him for that. He had the most 3 and outs out of any active qb in the league and has no feel for the pocket. Yall will really need a good o line for him to work.

The Titans were super aggressive but the Saints matched that aggressiveness perfectly. I'm proud of this season opener. A good on the edge game all the way until the end. Who Dat. We won a tough one for everybody to see.⚜️💪💯

I think they'll actually be okay. Remeber the Titans had the number one rushing D last year and we were without Kamara and Miller for this game. We also got robbed on that no call by the refs on that pass to Olave which was clearly pass interference which could have set us up for a double digit lead with 6 minutes to go.

I kinda agreed with it because they couldn't do anything all game and they had a better chance of making it and getting a stop and then going down and kicking another FG than it is to not get it and have to go down and try to score another TD and there's more energy knowing that your down by 1 and need a stop to go like 30-40 yards to kick a game winner than to miss a TD and get a stop when the saints get all the momentum and stop em and go try to score a TD

Great job, Saints, on the week one win! I'm super proud of you and the front office for making tough decisions that secured the victory. I have a few things to add, and I hope the Saints' front office sees this. Firstly, kudos on player selection, despite the salary cap challenges. I understand the business side of football. Some players should be lifelong Saints, but football is a business. Now, to the coaching staff - the offensive team did an excellent job with the game plan and utilizing skilled players. The defense was outstanding, as always, thanks to our talented corners, linebackers, and the formidable defensive line. Overall, you did great. There's room for improvement, but if you learn from today's mistakes, I believe you can finish the season strong with a 12-5 or 14-3 record. Keep up the excellent work, Saints! I'll be following you throughout the season.

NO is off to a good start to the season. I predicted that NO will win the NFC South and I'm sticking to that pick. A change in scenery will definitely benefit Carr who I feel is a better QB than most think. I expect the running game, Williams, to improve as the season goes on. Next up is a trip to CAR. Congrats on the win NO 👍.

Hard to run when kamara and miller are out and leaves a team with only their power back and your going against a top d-line in the league. Also prohibits a team from using the run game to get in a passing flow and In week 1 that’s necessary.

@@thexannyphantom5532 Well the titans had the best run defense last year, add that to the fact jamaal is a predictable power back they knew his run type and easily predicted it, so yea the best run defense against a one dimensional back is a recipe for defeat, our oline was bad in one spot being penning and that came in the pass which is where he since he was drafted has been speculated to need to fix.

it evened out with the horrible blown interference call that the refs decided they were going to ignore (gotta follow those Goodell mandates!!) against the Titans....there would have been a second TD for the Saints as the ball should have been on the 2...

@@nunnery14I agree. As a titans fan it hurts, but the saints getting essentially four extra possessions is unlikely to happen again and I’d be shocked if tannehill has another 3 INT game. That and the incomplete pass on the fumble goes for the titans 95-100 times, so I doubt the saints get that lucky again, whereas the titans will probably not have such bad play/luck again.

Thank God the Saints offense/Trevor Penning adapted after the first half. Defense looking great as always. Kickers stepped up when we needed them to⚜️⚜️

Generally not always but O-line takes a lil longer to gel than D-lines at start of season. I think we’ll be ok. Carolina Kittens next.

Carr can definitely turn it up for the Saints, he’s also never had a defense this good so it’s a recipe for success.

Carr should be able to do well in NOLA. I’m happy he’s there!

Saints have one of the best uniforms and colors in the NFL. They don’t go out of style.

See what happenes when Carr has a defense that isnt one of the 10 worst defenses. Saints D and Carr are taking yall to the playoffs. I had a feeling Carr would succeed.

A round of applause for the D line & ofc the D fense for bringing the pressure and good coverage just gotta practice practice practice to get better in sync on offense, we definitely need more running and screen options, plus we have secret weapons like Taysom or who knows maybe Graham. But the best hope is to learn to adjust on defense, use weapons & keep um guessin on offense,get in sync n pracctttiiceee.

These defense of linemen are raw they get to these quarterbacks n running back

Players can get concussions from running too fast. The numbers aren't reported correctly. Tom Bradys ex wife said he got concussions all the time and but I'm not sure he ever had them reported

I had a mini heart attack when Williams fumbled the ball on the last play of the game. Would’ve been interesting to see what the Titans could’ve done with the ball if they recovered it. Great job by both defenses today!

100% Ryan Tannehill has some of the worst awareness and movement in the pocket I've seen from an NFL QB. Also he has a super long windup on his throws that basically telegraphs them and gives the defense an extra half second to move on whoever he's throwing to. Look at the receiver at the top of your screen during the play @9:26. Genuinely one of the worst performances I've seen from a QB in the NFL

You're lucky and should be grateful to have Derek Carr. He will put up some solid numbers for the Saints. But that O-Line looks horrible and need to give Carr a chance.

The refs literally almost didn't give us the ball on the fumble on the first play of the game AND they didn't call the clear fumble that would of been a Tennessee touchdown the refs were on the saints side the entire time

I cannot believe the Saints hold the Titans 5 FRICKIN' FIELD GOALS! Saints defense did work.

As a fan of both teams, that was a masochistic experience. Saints, get an o-line. Titans, write some more plays.

Thank goodness I didn't see that opening kickoff "fumble" but thrilled Rasheed had a good game & caught Carr's very first Saints TD. WHO DAT!
