Country music isn't big in the UK mainly because it's usually depressing or cheesy, but I really like this song and Leave The Pieces...looking forward to finding some more good stuff like this!

@mapletreewizard: IMO one of the major differences between country music over the past 20 or 25 years and the country that came before it is the subject matter. Although you will still get some songs that cover the stereotypical dysfunctional territory---drinking, domestic strife and abuse, drinking, going to prison, drinking and drinking---there is a lot more of what some call "Americana" or "roots music". This song by The Wreckers is a great example of this sort of music. You will still hear caterwauling from the old country purists, but I don't think they will carry the day in the end. If you like The Wreckers, I would suggest you check out Little Big Town and Rascal Flatts, though the latter band is a bit too far over into pop for my taste.

Jessica's voice is so simple and beautiful--it is really too bad that Nasville has her singing crap like "boy like me". When they let "artists" write their own songs again we will again have substance in country music.

Yea, I'm "american," born and bred, grew up in the south and appreciate a healthy portion of authentic "country" music; I'm rather bored with the hillbilly "thang."
