Tenby without the crowds is a wonderful place, as is the entire coastline. Visitors very welcome, but so is the absence of them 😀

Hello Home Townies, That was a tour of my favourite place of all, and a lot of memories. My sister and I played hide and seek around the five arches and, for some years, she lived in the house whose garden included the turret at the top of the cliff. That was the grey slate covered house behind your head, Marcus. We were there, last year, for a family wedding, at St Julian's, on the beach. Can't tell you anything about the mortuary, but the whole town is a history course. If you visit St Mary's - one of the most beautiful anywhere, in my non-churchgoing opinion - you'll find a monument to Robert Reckorde, a local boy who wrote the first books of science and mathematics in English and invented the '+' and the '='. Oh, and did you check out the 'Harbwr' bar and brewery on Sergeant's Lane? That's my nephew's place. Be seeing you.

Not a local but me and my family have been going to Tenby on holiday trips for years, it's so great to see people really appreciate this beautiful seaside town and I'll be honest looks so strange off seasons but still a beautiful seaside town anytime of the year😅 As for Dead House Steps (7:28-9:18), I've done a few bit of research and from what I gathered of Dead House Steps, it was the town's mortuary built between the time dates of 1847/1892 and was the town's mortuary till 1954 where it was abandoned with the coming of Refrigerated mortuaries but would then be bought by a trust in the 90s. With the evidence of findings of two Chinese mortuary slabs found in there, it's believe that post-mortem examinations and burial preparations have been done there. It was located underneath the Fish Market and where apparently to an Wales News Website reporting of the site being auctioned off in the mid 2000's (this is where I got most of the information from) might have been related to certain investigations of the murders of the Hanging Judge Jeffreys Mass Executions in the 17th Century in Abergavenny following the Monmouth Rebellion and the Aberglasney House deaths of 5 maids in 1650, not to mention it's rumoured to be haunted and it's part of the Tenby Ghost Walks attraction and is currently used as a small boat house and a area for housing pipes and electric wires. Sorry for the long comment, thought I'd share some light to your confusion of Dead House Steps, thanks you, you guys are amazing👍

Once again brilliant you can't beat the coast better than the country side. The Welsh coast Cornish coast and the brittany coast and some parts of the English coast and isle of Wight coast there's some think magical and misticyle and some sense of pride of coming from there. 👍⛵⚓

@@flydriveexplore I live right next to the sea it's about a 4 minutes walk to the shoreline.and good thing is I live mostly right on top Portsdown hill Portchester 10 minutes drive away from Portsmouth I can see mostly all of the isle of wight the solent.in the summer I stay out on the decking with few beers on a night time just looking over at the isle of wight and Portsmouth and Gosport watching the cruise ships coming out of Southampton IV always got my Lateran out but don't worry I'm not trying to lure any ships to their doom and wreck them haha.its the best thing in the world to be coastal folk you probably might agree the coast for life.

Been to Caldy island. As I type I'm looking at a pot I bought my late Mother on Caldy. In those times (early 80's) women were not allowed inside the monastery and only the Abbott could speak to tourists. Might have changed. Interesting video again. I wonder if the monks have been vacced.
