That all sounds great!

I also like to wear linen clothing in the summer , but I do mind the wrinkles. My solution is a spray bottle with water. Put clothes on an hanger, spray generously on the wrinkly parts, let dry. This, I find, works great as long as your clothes do not require washing.

Love to watch your videos. Summer faves are: early morning bike rides, linen clothing, sunglasses, iced tea, growing tomatoes and herbs in pots, and reading under the umbrella on my patio.

Gardening is such a nice pastime!

Love your videos! I live in a particularly foggy neighborhood in San Francisco, so central heat is an essential in the summertime, which feels very weird but necessary! For days when it's actually sunny and warm I really appreciate my recycled cotton picnic/beach blanket, as well as my Bedrock sandals. I've also been really into peaches lately!

I look forward to all the fresh fruits of summer. Watermelon and cantaloupe 🍈 🍉as well as all berries 😋. I also love opening my windows to let the fresh air in and hear the birds. Summer walks and visiting flower gardens and farmers markets and flea markets! Our winters are long and cold so I cherish these warm sweet summers!

I love your garden patio with the greens, whites and silvery tones. That water bottle looks wonderful especially travelling. I got a pair of Teva sandals last year, quick favourite. Good mineral sunscreen and light cotton knit clothing.

ARCHIE'S FLIP-FLOPS are my new favourite summer footwear. I live just outside of Melbourne, Australia where Archie's were invented so I was excited to see that they are available elsewhere for all of us with "wonky feet".

I agree about prescription sunglasses, once you get them you'll wonder how you ever got along without them! Summer fave: Ice Cream cones eaten on the front steps with good company while watching people out strolling in the street enjoying the nice weather.

I love this video, it made me think of my own summer essentials. Water bottle as well for me. I agree with you on the linen shirts. My first linen t-shirt I bought unknowingly. They were on sale so I bought two and only when I washed them did I realize they were a linen blend. Now I am always on the look out for affordable linen pieces to add to my summer wardrobe, now I have dresses and linen shorts. It’s always cotton or linen fabric for me in the summer. Shorts are an essential for me. I have two in rotation during the summer. One other essential for me are sandals. I try my best not to wear shoes in the summer months as I feel my toes need a break from being cramped in socks and shoes all winter long so I have sandals of all types from Birkenstocks to very formal sandals with a low heel for more formal settings.

I live in Central Florida so, during the summer, I just stay indoors. This year is already hotter than usual and it's pretty unbearable. But I spent 10 years in Stockholm and absolutely loved the summertime there, whether it got warm or not. This was a lovely video!

Yes from me to all of these…apart from crosswords 🤣 For me I’d add an 1 iced coffee and2. frozen banana and berry smoothies ( frozen bananas + frozen strawberries or blueberries and soy milk) to my essentials. I make them for me and kids whenever we get back home from hot day outside and it’s such a crowd pleaser: refreshing and delicious.

Wonderful videos ALL, thank you! This summer essentials list is perfect. I may add sun protection lip balm and a cooling neck scarf. Muji has them in linen with an opening for a cooling gel pack.

I also love cross word puzzles, especially when we are at the beach. I agree on what you mentioned and I would just add a lot of iced coffee and of course sun cream or lotion for protection.

I find this house with a garden beautiful, I also love the white kitchen and its countertops.

I would say yes to all of these and the water bottle is a fantastic idea. Love watermelon, feta salad and I add cucumber to this. Banana and mango smoothies are a must too

For woolie slippers, I highly recommend Halflingers! They have the cork bottom like Birkenstock, so the arch support is good, and they are sturdy enough to go outside on a dry day. I live in Juneau, Alaska, which has a very wet climate. Also, they’re very warm. Love your videos!

30 years ago I was a camp counselor and wore tevas EVERYDAY! By the end of the summer I had the best teva tan ever! 😆 Enjoy your summer ☀️

I find it annoying], my cotton tee shirts and linen pants, a sake cocktail [for sitting on my terrace, watching the sun go down], red toenail polish, a shaved head [it's humid in NYC and I sweat alot]. Hello from 🇨🇦. I agree with several of your summer favorites. I have a really high prescription and I just got prescription sunglasses so I can read on the beach and my south facing patio in the summer. In Canada most people remove shoes at the door too. As I also have feet issues, my go to foot wear is Birkenstocks year round. Watermelons! Yes! My family doesn’t like watermelons so it all mine😊. Linen clothes is a new addition to my wardrobe but needs to be blended with cotton so it isn’t too scratchy. Will we get a wardrobe fashion show of your linen pieces? For me hats are essential because I get sunstroke easily and sometimes I might even pull out a colorful umbrella😊. I love your channel and look forward to your videos. Thanks for continuing to post great content. 😁

Hi Benita. Very good list. I’m with you on the prescription glasses. When I replace my distance glasses I’m definitely getting prescription sunglasses as well, for out and about and driving. I also have reading glasses but always sit in the shade because my skin burns easily. I’ve seen that water bottle before. Lovely design. I use filtered water but that’s good for when your out and run out of filtered water. I should buy one. Haven’t seen flip flops with arch support- excellent. I only bought mine for the shower at the gym. Flat ones give me a sore instep. I love the Teva sandals. Didn’t know that’s why they’re called but I’ve always thought they look good and are perfect for summer. I’m a fan of linen too. Natural fabrics breathe and it always looks good. Keep enjoying the watermelon. It has excellent health benefits I recently found out - not just for hydration!

All these essentials are great! Watermelon is a top one for me as well. Also a fan of some sort to keep the air moving. A good sunscreen is a given too of course. It’s winter here in New Zealand so this video is a great escape, thanks Benita!

I always love seeing your garden, its the one thing I miss so much where I live.....we have a roof top garden but it is not the same as just walking out to your own patio.......I also love linen in the hot weather and don’t mind paying a little extra for it as it lasts, I took a look at the water bottle you mentioned however it was $142 on Amazon and I just didn’t want to pay that much..........like you I also have bad arches so I wear OOFOS around the house , they are an orthopaedic flip flop that gives lots of support...I have a pair of Birkenstock as well but I find I can’t wear them on the street anymore as I have really bad arthritis in my feet......I don’t do audio books, but again I love a good crime novel.........have a great week...........Donna in Toronto

Nine essentials from of your list are my summer essentials too! I was never good at crosswords, but I do Griddler puzzles instead. I have the same problem with my legs though - easily tan on my upper body but legs stay pasty. Must give self-tan a go this summer :)

Its very HOT in Texas during the summer which makes staying indoors most of the time come June -sept. Normally I spend a lot of time outside, but hot weather is not my friend. If i do go out for walks its done early morning or late evening. I love linen as well during the summer months. I’m going to look into the water flask you mentioned. I currently use a hydro flask thats great for the gym 32 oz, but for other outings its a bit hard to carry. I love summer reading as well, but I’m more of a hardcover book person, but trying out some audio books as well. Enjoy your summer and be safe.

I definitely agree with you about sunglasses (prescription for me too!), water bottle, foot file (such a game changer for soft feet!), and linen clothing. For me, I'd have to add comfortable walking sandals (though I prefer to go barefoot at home - no socks in summer, ugh), cute shorts, iced tea, all the fresh fruit and veggies I can eat, and the biggest essential for health: sunscreen. Here in the Pacific Northwest of the US (Seattle specifically), I believe our weather is very similar to Stockholm at times. We cherish the sun and warmth when we get it and Seatttleites love to get outside all year round, but summer is extra special, of course. It's June 14 and it's still only in the 50-60s F here (about 10-18 C), so we're still waiting for proper summer yet! :)

I use to have a routine of walking for years but I have had planters fasciitis for over a year now can seem to heal it up to walk again and I have many different shoes but none keeps pain away long enough to get in a good walk. I use to be a flip flop queen but I never tried Archie’s, I hope I get relief from these, I need another good inside pair. Thanks for sharing

My dearest Benita, I am a crossword addict for years now and yes I also use a clipboard 😹😹 pencil and a rubber😹😹. I started solving them in summers first but continued through all seasons next. I have one app on my phone but I agree with you the pleasure is not the same!! I tend to read more books and enjoy eating melon 🍈 and watermelon🍉 and prefer my coffee hot in the mornings ☕☕ and cold when I 'm outside🥤 I wish you have a wonderful summer☀️☀️ 😺😺

If you are in the U.K., may I recommend the Tesco sugar free, quadruple strength lemon cordial? It's £2 for a 1.5 litres bottle and it's divine.

It’s really great when it’s hot out!

I love the look of Tevas, but replaced mind when they wore out with Chacos after I learned that Chacos has a repair program (!!!). My Tevas would get ground down over time, but I’ve re-soled my Chacos several times.

I really love to wear long cotton dresses! Fresh and stilish.. 😊

I live in Arizona and when our Summer hits I start wanting protein shakes instead of eating lunch. I don't eat a lot of protein so this really helps a lot. A water bottle or cup is always an essential living here. We swim at night, as we are all fair blue eyed blondes and don't like being out in the heat and sun. Watermelon is a craving when the heat hits, so cool and refreshing, as is the occasional gin and tonic with plenty of lime :) Thanks for the video ! 🥰💐🌱🌞🌛🍒🏜💗✝🪐
