TEN Hair Transplants??? Joe Tillman Has an FUE Hair Transplant

I've just finished my tenth hair transplant so here is part one of my return to see Dr. Wong. In the previous video I outlined why I've had nine hair transplants and where all the hair was placed. It was intended to put my transformation into context.
Now that I've had all the strip my scalp can handle, it is time to try FUE. The good thing is that I don't need a lot of hair as this time we're just going to add density to the crown for a stronger appearance. I want it to match the front and the top as much as possible.
We also decided to try FUE into scar by placing 100 grafts into the occipital scar only. The sides are fine so nothing was needed there.

All he has to do now is launch his brand of sneakers with his hair follicle logo, and give a lame brand name like *HAIR JORDAN*

What a PERFECT elevator ride, just as i remember it all 3 times, to the infamous Hasson & Wong lobby. Part One...an excellent venue into the beautiful H&W format. Love that place! ✌💜👊
Dr. Wong is the man! Literally changed my liffe!
Good luck for the surgery !! You are the mentor ...
Soo happy for you. You look happy and anxious to see the results in 1 yr 👍
Hahaha Joe,you are crazy man,good luck for your ten surgery!The experience you have gained over the years - really inspires.
Dr Wong...the Grand Master 🙏🏻
When the pre op haircut is better than your normal hair cut hahaha
Joe you had me at ‘donor area shaved!’ Maybe some grafts in the scar and voila! Looking forward to the next part two. Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic video joe

I’f I could afford it I’d love to fill in my crown I’m sick of putting toppik every day but oh well just can’t afford another one lol. It works so I stay happy with what I got.
Joe, have you ever thought about SMP for the scar? The style looks good btw.
He simply goes to the best hair transplant doctor. I wonder if you needed to wait like any other normal guy :-))) Big thumbs up btw! ;)
I HAVE THEE OPPOSITE PROBLEM....I HAVE TO THICK OF HAIR AND TO LOW A HAIR LINE...IT MAKES ME TO HOT AND I FEEL I LOOK TO YOUNG IM TIRED OF SHAVING MY HEAD AND NAIR ONLY WORKS FOR FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS ...IS THERE ANY PERMANENT HAIR REMOVEL THATS AFFORDABLE????? THANKS IN ADVANCE GREAT VIDEO
Joe, maybe you've addressed this in one of your other vids, but do you have any permanent scalp numbness from having so many strip surgeries, or did you regain most sensation after each procedure?
Where do you keep getting the donar hair from?
I understand the reason for that amount of surgeries, but how many more before you receive the results you are looking for?
You should probably contact Guiness World Records.

I know Dr. Koray personally and I think he's one of the most inventive and forward thinking doctors out there. I've spoken to HLC before and they're hard working and have a work ethic that is impressive. Ultimately, you have to take what you learn and apply it to what each clinic does and ask yourself if either approach makes sense, because both clinics are diametrically opposed in how they manage themselves.
@jswats92

Joe Tillman I’m leaning more towards dr Koray since they seem to be more transparent with results. Why do you say they are diametrically opposed in their ideology? Dr Wong is a excellent choice to good looks on your newest procedure!.

@@jswats92 They're diametrically opposed because Dr. Erdogan is running up to 8 surgeries a day, with eight separate teams that are doing the surgery. I'm not clear on who is now making all of the incisions for placement but with eight surgeries at once, I can't assume he's still doing it all. HLC has one surgery and it is limited to a small # (I think 1800 per day) as the doctor is doing everything. Thanks for the support. Yes, Dr. Wong and his team are fantastic.

Joe Tillman I actually got into looking in this side of the world because of hlc I forget why I strayed away...Will look into them again. Thanks for the advice!!
You're addicted to this... Hair transplants is like a drug for you :)
Joe! Never talk to a doctor in the middle of his investigation of your donor area! Let the master analyze his artwork. 😁 Your FUT scar looks very neat. "Pencil thin." Love your channel!
Why wouldn't use beard hairs to increase scalp hairs density?
@DanielBlaney

its a different type of hair. Generally thicker and has a curl to it. Also usually only 1 hair per follicular unit as well vs 2-3 for head follicular units.
Is it Hasson and Wong or just Wong now?

Just a fixation, many people develop monomaniacal ideation, especially when body image is involved. This is a harmless fixation, at least. The psychological portrait makes for an interesting study though. Also, there is nothing wrong with wanting to look one’s best, especially when one can shoulder the consequences.

@@hairtransplantchannel Yeah along with Rahal in Ontario there the big names in canada. But i've seen a horror story from Rahal so even the best have there misses i guess.
I say go the scalp micropigmentation route instead. Even if you do go the hair transplant route, it looks so much better combined with SMP too.

what if you want hair that is over 1mm long. I prefer the long hair look, SMP would do jack diddly squat for me

@@mikesully110 SMP is used to add density for people with hair transplants. If it takes (10) transplants, it's obviously not a great solution by itself.

Do you feel like all those procedures were worth it? I am asking because it seems like you have been holding on to hair for so long but yet the procedures don’t really do much. Not trying to sound like a jerk

Watch some real before and afters. Joe was destined to live a life without hair on top from a young age. His status as of now is incomparable to what he would have had to live with. His hair looks incredible given the hand he got dealt.

For your average guy ( Norwood 1-3) up to his 40's he can get away with 1-2 FUE transplants. Going bald means needing FUT surgery and usually 2-3 transplants.
@hairtransplantchannel

Fair question. The guinea pig sessions weren't worth it. A bit of pain and aggravation for zero cosmetic impact. I was volunteering for education's sake. The bigger "real" surgeries with Dr. Wong? Absolutely they were worth it. Each and every one.

Can I ask why you decided to do it 10 times? That seems like an awful amount of focus to live your life thinking about your hair.
Mluthair for real man???
Time to get a mowhawk haircut.
Around the 4.10 mark, what does the doc say? You've had prior surgery so there's scare tissue, therefore the remaining graphs may be damaged? Is that how it goes? I've had 3 FUE HTs so far. Does that mean the hair remaining in the donor is damaged due to the tiny scars from the prior HTs?
@hairtransplantchannel
5 жыл бұрын
Yes. Follicles extracted via FUT or FUE usually have fatty tissue at the bottom but if there is scar tissue in the area the grafts can sometimes be a bit more anchored and will take more effort to free from the tissue. Thankfully this wasn't really an issue for me. Dr. Wong was just being cautious.
