very valuable and informative video. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
next ep needs to have Trump's quote from his latest rallye "this combover is a work of art!"
If your every second word is LIKE or YOUKNOW then your hair should be the last thing you should be worried about.
What caller?
Not many people these days put consideration for others before a buck. Thankyou Spenser that’s something I’ll always respect you for
The Beatles said money can’t buy you love. The truth is it might do but it definitely can’t buy you hair
It seams Dr Cooley is the man to go to for hair transplants. Probably will have him do mine
If after using both oral Dutasteride, oral Minoxidil, and Keto shampoo for over a year (without sides) but is still losing alot of hair and miniaturization, both visibly and under microscope, how does one know if they should 1.) increase dose of Dut, 2.) add a topical anti-androgen such as Pyralutamide, or 3.) or a form of Estradiol? In watching some of your videos, there are various terms that I don't understand such as 1.) high or low androgen activity in scalp, 2.) aromatase, 3.) whether increase in scalp testosterone could be an issue for a small group of individuals, etc.. I'd like to do something in addition to what I'm doing now but don't want to exacerbate the situation. Any input is appreciated.
What a PERFECT elevator ride, just as i remember it all 3 times, to the infamous Hasson & Wong lobby. Part One...an excellent venue into the beautiful H&W format. Love that place! ✌💜👊
I was joking about you eating 🥣 joe, lol glad it was good
Hi Joe Spence hope all is good 💯 yes up early tuned in. Thanks for TRUTH 🙏
Here is what I have done for scaring in the donor area. 1. I had a scar excision for the large vertical scar that was from an injury, not hair transplantation. (You were there so you know about this) 2. I Had head donor hair transplanted in an FUT scar. This was done in a small amount and early in the history of FUE so it made almost no impact. 3. I went to an SMP artist about 15 years ago. She was actually not very good, but the tattooing alone made what was a pink FUT scar turn white. The tattoo gun itself had a micro-needling effect that helped improve the appearance of the scar. 4. Last year, I had a second SMP session performed by a better artist. This did camouflage the FUT scar; however, it didn't hide it entirely because the scar is slightly concave. The only way to truly conceal the scar has been to grow my hair long. I also had some SMP in my donor area where there was overharvesting from FUE and this made a nice improvement in my donor area. I think in all but extreme cases, that is probably better than transplanting hair into the donor area using body hair. 5. Five months ago, I had 400 beard hair grafts placed in the FUT scar. We focused only on the portion of the scar on the back of my head because that is the only area where it can be seen, so the transplantation was quite dense. Growth has only recently begun, but I am already noticing improvement. In my case, the thick caliber of beard hair seems to be overcoming the scalp deformities caused by a shoddy FUT job that created the scar.
Creatine has not only benefits for muscles but huge benefits for brain health and other things too. Ihave taken creatine more than 2 decades, I dont know if it causes any hair loss, studies show it doesnt. And I take TRT too and finasteride. Spencer, dont wait miracles from TRT althou Im now stonger than ever after 30+ years of training with just a bit of testo =)
Only disappears if the scar is flat
That was so cringey to hear you say the word Eugenics(x) over and over again. And to sprinkle accolades around that word...taken out of context, this was a gold mine of slander. Perhaps the doctors were not aware of the historical and connotation underpinnings of the word eugenics, and their branding is a considerable investment, but you have a choice of how many times you say their practice's name.
Odd complaint. The video is 20 minutes long and I mentioned their clinic name ten times. They ARE the subject of the video so not sure whom else I'm supposed to refer to. And to associate the name of the clinic with the negative connotations applied to the word from the late 19th and early 20th centuries is disingenuous as it is obvious what the clinic is referring to, and what it is NOT referring to. Learn to look past narrative and to not be triggered by meaningless and useless associative word games.
Bald truth UK YES please!
As always, great show. Appreciate the informative and life-saving content. Love you guys.
Thank you for your support as always, Carolina:)
Great show guys - thanks for taking my talk to discuss such an important topic 👍
Thank you Gentlemen Joe Mr KOBERN Spex from UK. UP on time is winter here Aus. Now I know why Spencer Joe bang there head on walls. It's all happy horse 🐎 shit TC
👍
So much insight! 😎🤛🏻
Man its crazy how a full head of hair changes people. They start to take care about their appearance again, shave, skin care, smile, dress up. That is gold for someones soul to not look like a bulkied unhealthy chicken. Hair transplant should be covered by insurance. The effects of going bald are mentally and therefore physically devastating
I remember a famous English actor talking about playing a romantic lead. He has crown loss he’s never disguised and they put derm match on for the role. He said to the director that he’d rather not wear it and was told that cinema goers don’t want to see a balding leading man. So stupid and probably untrue
Hair systems are such a good short term option for people considering surgery or waiting for their fin to work. I think it’s the maintenance that’s off putting but if ur determined enough u can learn pretty quickly
Yes boys
Hey Joe, much love from Wisconsin! 🌱💜👊
what is the worst that can happen? you must do 2-3 surgeries in the aftermath to undo the poor work
Romanian doctor in Switzerland ....so EU came even into Suisse lifestyle.
Great show guys…
Hi Joe. Nice hair. May I ask what you use to style it on the show? Thanks
Thanks. I got a cut about 30 minutes before we went on air, but I use L'oreal Studio Line "Matt & Messy" shine free fiber paste and only a very small amount as it goes quite far. I rub it in after moderately towel drying my hair, comb, then let air dry for a few minutes to "set" then I blow dry. Entire affair takes about 5 minutes.
Hi is the new start time of 8pm EST permanent?
No, we're experimenting. Next week will be at an as of yet undetermined new time, but it will not be 8pm EST.
What happened to Spencer is basically what happened to me. What a mistake, and waste of 2k, but luckily it wasn't surgery.
Still to this day I only told one friend, and my mum at the time who said I was mad it won't work. Still to this day I regret going there, but I didn't have the internet and couldn't do research on what I was getting myself into. I didn't have that basically rug on my head for more than 2 weeks because I said this is nothing like my hair, and was very painful as it was put on with like fishing sinkers. Never trust Advanced Hair Studios.
@@graeme1744 I've heard so many horror stories about places like this, hair club for men, etc. As soon as they come out with wishy washy scientific "appliance" talk, or especially if they say "now this is not really a wig" get the hell out. You can wear hair yourself for much cheaper, a guy called StickOnHair on youtube talks about it. Personally for me just 1.25mg of Fin every 3 days kept my Norwood 2 and I'm almost 40 in a family full of baldies.
Hello Gentlemen hope all good Joe you enjoying hot weather. Enjoyed listening 🎧 show good talk callers. Keep cool 😎 enjoy wknd
Thanks for listening, as always good to hear from you.
When did Dr start using finastride off label for Hairloss?
Wow, good question! Not long after it was first introduced in 1992, so basically from the start. I know Spencer was taking it around this time and it wasn't introduced for hair with FDA approval till 1997.
2:06:38 was gold, laugh out loud. Sense was more stressed with that than dealing with Cole, ha
I've got a circle like this in my head😢
1:15:53 This guy doesnt undestand meaning of language barrier.
Thank you Joe and Spencer for the phone call! I appreciate the advice that you both provided me! And, thanks again for spreading truthful/evidence-based information to us!
it is great to see you back, thank you.
Definitely one of the best free, yes free call in show about Hairloss in the world! That's a big statement, but what show can you call in live anywhere in the world except North Korea.
And yes I prefer oral.
This is insane ! Obviously density can’t be super thick I’d imagine but it wouldn’t be super thin and wirey right ?
So if you want ro show professionality you have always to mention the medical therapy wich can have the most effects to the results. The after fotos you show are also not in the same light conditions as the before. And please tell us if you will report about a non-cooperating clinic with u with out commercial benefits
I see Dr. Nusbaum tomorrow, excited!
Amazing episode. The way you helped Tammy was invaluable. Thank you guys for all that you do.
My eyes got puffy after i started oral minoxidil and I unfortunately had to stop :(
Spencer has been doing this for so long because apparently there’s a lot of hair loss groupies! Who knew!!
Guys do you know any independent forum for HT reviews that is not spammed by fake reviews or sponsors? Thanks, I'm new to this. Reddit seems useful but, don't know how much can I trust it.
Appointment with Doc on Thursday, excited!
So if you were to choose between Teva and Proscar from Organon (Merck), then most likely Organon is the highest potency?
I've been using merk propecia for years, name brand only when it come to follicles. Now that Organon is a spinoff of merk making supposedly name brand propecia, I'm getting shedding. It probably a poor quality generic
For me, yes. I'd stick with Organon between the two.
@@hairtransplantchannel sweet thank you!!
Hi I have a thin but sharp fut scar that I’ve had smp done and only looks kind of camouflaged when it is freshly shaved I want to do fue grafts into it so that when the hairs around it start to grow it is still not really noticeable would I be a good candidate for this
Generally speaking, yes. But never expect 100% camouflage when trying to hide a scar. It is never perfect.
He wrote temporary SMP he did not write regular SMP I'm thinking this fades or something otherwise he would have said SMP.
