I just got my first shipment from them. Their customer service was the best I've had with any company ever - in the midst of a global shipping fiasco, Joey proactively emailed me about a bottle that was causing a delay in my shipment, offered me options, and kept me regularly abreast of the situation. I was already tickled that I could finally get Mr. Black in Ohio by having them deliver it, but their care and personal touch has me as a customer for life.

Cagliastro and Saint-Germain are the two main goto figures authors usually use when they need an "immortal" in their novel. I STILL haven't forgiven Sandler for dashing my hopes many years ago. I saw "Hotel Transylvania" popping up in movie forums and I was ecstatic thinking we were going to be getting Chelsea Quinn Yarbro's version of Saint-Germain on the big screen ... only to find out it was going to be an Adam Sandler animated flick. BOOOOOO!

The good thing about spring in Sweden is that the snow is a bit less cold. Calls for a drink.

And Greg adopts Aperol as his play on the Babish habit of pronouncing Worcestershire a different way each and every time
@UltimateGamerCC
3 жыл бұрын
i still prefer Emeril Lagasse's pronunciation: "what's-this-here" sauce, because if you're not from Worcester, you're gonna muck it up anyway, at least it sounds funny that way.
Gin Whisper states "Mint Julep" at the top of the description. Thought you might want to update!
I feel like a rule of thumb for me for season themed would be spring: floral and evervessent, summer: fruity and iced, fall: vegetal and spirit heavy, winter: spices and hot.

As someone who has made dozens of Aperol Spritzes in a hotel bar, I can say that it is definitely a summer drink. Extremely refreshing on a hot sunny summer day.

One of my fave refreshing cocktails is The St. Germaine Cocktail! 1.5 oz st germaine 2 oz prosecco 2 oz club soda lemon twist
Now Greg has to make a drink called the "Freshening Lichen". It's the law.
I usually prefer to have a glass of Pastis and chilled water, no ice. Commonly served in an 8 oz. tumbler, with about a 4:1 or 5:1 ratio of water to Pastis. It's soooo refreshing and is extremely popular in the southern regions of France, in particular.
May I suggest adding a "Bee's Knees" to the list. Gin, honey syrup, lemon juice. What could be more spring?

"I think my wife will like these when I start making them again..." The Tasting Notes: "She does not" Haha! The notes are the best parts of the tasting!
About measuring pedantically, I absolutely hate when people just say “top it off with this” and don’t give any clue about how much. I could have a different sized glass, more or less ice cubes, and I'm making the drink for the first time. Also, when I measure, I can easily know how much I should use next time if I want to increase or decrease the amount. It lao makes you tasting notes more accurate to the drink we make at home. In conclusion, I like measurements. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
A drink of my own creation I call it the April afternoon Put several slices of English or cocktail cucumber (the more the merrier) at the bottom of a shaker add 2 oz of Irish whiskey, 1oz of elderflower liqueur and 1 oz of lemon juice. Shake and double strain into a Collin’s glass and top with soda. Garnish with a cucumber wheel. If I know I’m going to be making a lot of these I’ll actually steep some cucumber in some whiskey for a few days to really imbue the liquor with the fresh vegetal flavor of cucumbers.

Cynar spritz, campari spritz, hugo spritz, suze spritz!! Making all the spritz this spring.

I just went on my first hike of spring yesterday and did in fact notice and marvel at the freshening lichen. irl spring thing, truly relatable. thanks greg.
Yes! I love your take on cocktails. Please do this every season.
Greg, ten drinks into the episode: "Ah. The lichens are freshening."
Pimms Cup for the win!!! Wife and I made this for the first time during the great shut down and we used your recipe from several videos ago and we loved it.
"The void that exists behind my eyes" LOL always love your wit, Greg!
I feel like "Bubbles Laying in the Grass" from your AI episode might deserve a spot in this list!
Best spring cocktail: Smokey Dr. Pepper. Pint glass of ice, 2oz smokey scotch (I prefer either Ardbeg Uigeadal or JW Black) and top w/ Dr Pepper.

Congrats on this huge partnership! Great drinks as always
I love to drink a Sunset Sour during spring time. It's a sour with bourbon, hazelnut liqueur, a splash of orange liqueur, lemon juice, an egg white and a bud of mint. Absolutely delicious.
A Mary Pickford with 1/4 oz of lime juice to balance it out. Fresh ingredients, light, refreshing…yum!
Thanks for sharing 🙂
Yes to the lichens are freshing!!
Gordon’s cups are fantastic
Well I just had a blast ordering from Curiada! I was so excited to see the Mr Black! I have been looking for it for my husband!
My favourite spring drink: Hessian apple cidar aka "Äpplewoi", half-and-half with seltzer and a tea spoon (or to taste) of menthe pastile on the top. Serve chilled or on ice with a spring of mint. A dash of ginger syrup could work too, to round it out.
I was thinking of a screwdriver when I thought of spring drinks, though these are great!

I like to add a splash of malibu coconut rum to my aperol spritz. Gives it a subtle but present hint of creamy coconut flavor.
Caipirinha is a very popular drink here in Germany, and I have never seen them with white sugar in my life, only brown sugar. Should fit even better, but then again I never tried white sugar before.
